the worst discount I've ever had in the last 6 years with Sky was 50% so 30% is way too little!

Better than a kick in the teeth
There are some 60% off discounts around at the moment so it may be worth holding out for that
Yesterday I rang and asked to leave and was given 50% off, which I had already been on for the past year. This is for a basic package. I wanted to include sky sports and they said there was no offers on at the minute. So logged in, saw this offer, went to include it but it pushed my basic package back up to full price so left it. Can it not be used with an already discounted TV package?

Put in a cancelation request, within minutes you will be offered 50% online and 60% around cancelation date. As said above you should never pay full price for sky discounts over the years range from 10% in the old days to 75% in the last two years. Just tell them you can't afford it, redundancy, wife pregnant, mine has been on maternity leave for 9 years
got 50% off with a £50 bill credit and a rolling monthly contract when I threatened to cancel a week ago.

I cancelled with them, then three weeks later got a letter through the door offering me 60% off all bundles with the option to add movies or sports, or you could get the lot for to £30.30 plus there was a £100 credit too on top of that. After the cancellation period was up and I was 'cut off' I just put up with Now Tv which I got for £2 per month for two months via another deal on here and DH went to the pub to watch the footie, he doesn't drink much so it didn't cost him much. It is worth holding out.

Tend to agree with others that it is worth holding out for a better deal, but if you go for this don't forget £21 through Topcashback as well.

I was offered £50 credit at first and was about to accept but was like 'this is still a bit too much' and he said he'll give £100 credit.
So hot tip for others - if they offer £50 credit don't accept it and they'll probably offer £100.

As for this deal, they over-charge by about 75%, so 30% off isn't really a deal, they're just overcharging less than usual.

Given up on Sky years ago.... never really missed it....and my bank balance has never missed it either
Got rid of sky a couple of years back. Now TV is way forward I think, no contracts
i pay £130+ a month for full sky, phone and broadband package + 3x multiroom subs. Was on an offer, but ended a few months ago and just haven't got round to sorting it. Just spent 56 minutes talking online to a sky advisor, and all i got was 2 offers:- 1st, £16.00 off a month for 11 months, locking me in to a new 12 month contract. So i pushed, and pushed, and charmed, and sweet talked her into a corner and squeezed her to a whopping £22.00 off a month for 8 months, locking me into a 12 month contract.

Now, im no Alberto Einstenio, but both offers amounting to £176 off total, im offended. How the hell do you guys all get 60% off a year. Thats crazy. Told the woman i was offended and cancelled everything. Bye Bye Sky...
£130 quid a month! where you live? Jupiter?

Cancel it. After two weeks they'll get in touch to offer you 50% discount and a £50 bill credit. If you don't accept that, they'll try again in another week or so and offer 60% discount and a £100 bill credit. That's my experience anyway.
Contacted Sky via online chat and got offered £10 a month off for 10 months.

They did offer me the full package including Sports, Movies and HD pack for £57.50 a month.

Thanks, I'll cancel again as soon as my £50 bill credit has been used ;-)
ive had a 50% discount for god knows how long....
If you haven't got an existing offer you can six months half price sports.

Better offer in short term.

This is a closer offer only known to staff so you'll to ring up to get it, you won't see it advertised anywhere
