I saw this offer in Tesco while using the handheld scanners.

Basically you purchase a Dyson (see link for a list of Dyson models on offer). Go to the website and submit your request.

tescodysongiftcardpromotion.com

Simple !

My local Tesco (Watford Extra) have the DC28C for £224 (on special offer), after the discount (gift card) the Dyson only cost me £144.

If you purchased a Dyson from in-store when completing the form in the “Tesco Direct order Number” box enter your till receipt number found at the bottom (normally in the format of ‘DATE’ ‘TIME’ xxxx xxx xxxx xxxx)

The DC28C only gets you an L80 gift card, not L100. List at the bottom of your link: tescotechsupport.com/tes…on/

£224 - £80 = £144

Soooooo, hold up.
What's to prevent me from claiming the gift card after purchasing the vacuum cleaner and then simply returning the vacuum cleaner?

How about;

1. "The Tesco Gift card will be despatched 4 weeks from the date you have ordered the qualifying Dyson vacuum cleaner and should reach you within 1-2 weeks from despatch."

and

2. "The Tesco Gift card sent to you will be de-activated if the product purchased to qualify for the Tesco Gift card, is returned."

Not another Dyson "up to " offer ! If its the same as the others posted you have to buy a £450+ appliance to get the £100 . I'm getting bored with it .

Great deal e.g. DC28c with £80 voucher from Tesco website seems cheaper than elsewhere.

Suggest that too many people have realised that Dysons are overpriced, plasticky, and unreliable, with far better alternatives like Miele around for less money.

thats what she said!

btw, dyson is an overpriced piece of crap.

Except my wife

Have to stand up for Dyson here - we've had our DC08 for 11 years now with no problems and have just got a DC59 cordless. Had it for a couple of weeks and it almost pulls the carpet up on normal suction, let alone on boost!
Oh, also on a side note - we got John Lewis to price match Thurgo.co.uk on the DC59 at £298.96

Thanks for clearing that up x

We still have our Dyson DC03 after 13 years and its still going strong

Is this valid for purchases in store? The voucher site requires a direct order number.

There appears to be only one Dyson that actually gets you a £100 gift card, most are significantly less. Dodgy.

Terms & Conditions:

"Offer not valid on purchases from Sellers at Tesco Direct."

I'm confused. Can I buy this on-line or do I need to go to shop ?

You can buy online but it must be from Tesco and not a third party seller (like Amazon Marketplace, Tesco now allow other companies to sell products on Tesco Direct)

DC Animal 41 is £429 on Tesco with £100 cashback = £329.

Last time I checked it was £399 on Dysons own site with a £100 off code available = £299.

Just one example I happen to have personally noticed if you're wondering if this is a good deal.

Hi Matjoliver, would you share how you got JL to price match the price from another website please? Did you buy online or in a store? Many thanks!

Horseknight - I just went onto the John Lewis website and filled out a price match request as a long shot
https://www.johnlewis.com/never-knowingly-undersold

Didn't think they'd match it, but got an email back pretty quick saying they'd match. Had to buy the product online and then they refunded the difference once I'd sent them our order number.

Just a heads up but currys are doing something similar, but it's cash not a voucher...

And Argos

the DC28C priced at £299 I got from Argos for £180 using my £20 voucher

Can you actually buy one in store and claim back for the gift voucher? This suggests it has to be a Tesco Direct order - Customers are required register their claim and provide all requested details correctly, for the gift card on tescodysongiftcardpromotion.com once the order is placed online, by telephone or at an in-store desk. Claims not registered via tescodysongiftcardpromotion.com cannot be processed.

The form also ask for your Tesco Direct order number? Anyone confirm either way?

Just a heads up I was going to buy a DC50 Animal and I looked at several other models and they done the same to them all nearly!

I missed out because I got paid on the Friday and this ripoff back offer started on the Wednesday I believe?

Price before this promotion that at most stores in one way or another now was £259.99 at Currys it now £379.99 + cash back you have to wait a month for (Currys) = still £40 out of pocket from previous price!

Check pricerunner history of products they basically hike the price to cover the cashback it a ripoff and I waiting till it drops again?

It may work out beter on a very few models but most have gone up to more than cover the cashback?

Had a reply from Tesco, the offer isn't valid for instore purchases -

Thank you for your email.
I have looked in to this offer and you will have to order the Dyson online as there is no option to input a receipt number.

The Giftcard that you receive however will be available to use on Tesco Direct or in store.

I hope this information helps and thank you for your time.

If I was you I would call Tesco again and show them the T&C's. Tesco customer service dept. always seem to make answers up on the spot without knowing what they are talking about.

"•Offer valid only on purchases of selected Dyson products at participating Tesco Stores and Tesco Direct between 24/02/2014 and 19/03/2014."

Any response from them yet? I'm waiting too but purchased on the 19th & completed the webform on the 20th.
