This isnt anything special as the other Holiday Inn and IHG links to offers on MSE usually offer much better rates than this direct quidco link. Like 2 nights for 1, 35% off etc etc and you can still get the quidco cashback on those rates too

nice thanks

Finding the best rates at any IHG hotels is an art in itself as there are literally dozens of promotions running.

One of the best is buy-one-get-one-free at ]http//ww…ive

Alternatively if you work for a large company they often have rates for them, e.g. ]http//ww…ens for people who work for Siemens.

I would recommend people who book IHG hotels look at the IHG forums on FlyerTalk to see the best rates and how to maximise your points or miles.

Please make sure you read the rate conditions before you book as many offers are non-refundable.

Agreed.

One deal that we use regulary is the 35% off Prepayed A rate deals. Some jobsworth decided to expire the post that was posted up on here 8 months back, but the deal itself has never expired. The direct link still works, select the Prepayed rate and you can bag up to 35% discount off the room rate.

One condition to be aware of is Prepayed rates are non refundable if you cancel, whereas standard rates are if you cancel before a certain time (you need to check the T&C's, but I think its 24 hours notice).

Useful info, cheers guys.

Anyone know about the "Friends and Family" link/voucher and if it all works. None of these coded work for Dubai but the freiends/family does give me about 25% off but I want to know if its risky doing this.

Hi Taylope1,
I used the friends and family link that was posted on here about 8 months ago without any problems.
It gave a decent discount on the room rate quoted and we booked two rooms in NYC, involved downloading a form where you entered the 'friends' details but the hotel never asked for it.
The original post was moved (Deleted after say 10 days) after it had been posted and there was a great discussion about any booking being honored but as i say no problems, booked online (had to pay full amount at time of booking) got online and email confirmation, hotel reception had the reservation and when we checked out nothing extra/ no questions asked. as i say they were not interested in the F+F form I had completed.
hope this helps.
PS have you a link to the F+F voucher?

If you're staying at the Holiday Inn group, ie. Intercontinental Hotels, then you can generally earn Priority club points which can be saved towards future free nights, or exchanged for other purposes.

I don't think the Friends and Family and Prepaid A rate are valid for priority club points or status (the more nights, you move through status levels, and earn more points, get other benefits).

If you're not bothered about earning free frequent stay (Priority club) points then this doesn't matter, although many pre-paid rates do offer points, including the buy one get one free deal (earning points and 1 night stay's credit towards next status level, as well as 7, 14 days advance purchase rate.

If you ever make a mistake with a booking, I have found some hotels will honour changing the booking, though have less success with the independent franchise hotels in the Holiday Inn group. It pays to ask nicely, as many staff are really helpful and want you to be happy - though I've never asked for a refund, just a date change.

I think this post is misleading, as the Advance Purchase Rates are available to everyone and not just Quidco members, and are just subject to availability and not offered by every hotel etc.

I don't know whether the poster has assumed that this is a special extra benefit of using Quidco for IHG hotels. As such, this is not a new deal, merely business as usual for the Intercontinental Hotels Group which, like most hotels and airlines, offer a range of rates, many of them with restrictions.

When you click through from Quidco to the Holiday Inn/IHG site, you should then be at the public page for the hotel, and able to access the same rates that the public can, as far as I am aware. I have made about 10 bookings via IHG since December, and it is no different to how it has been for a year or so.

Although the Advance Purchase rates are available to everyone, this is up to 20% off those rates. It isn't misleading, unless you don't read the post or the T&Cs properly, that is. Also consider that Quidco is open to everyone so effectively this offer is as well.

In itself it isn't a bad deal but won't be the cheapest rate at every hotel, although it may be at some. The key thing is that if you genuinely want to find the best rate at any given IHG hotel then one needs to check at least half-a-dozen promotions, of which this is one.

I got the link off google but I'm not sure what name to use if they ask?

I was going to use the friends & family voucher (link from MSE), but wondered if it was still the same name (Anthony Bainbridge) to be put on the voucher, as that post is from last year.

Anyone know?
