Some excellent deals with this offer. I've found Wickes supply very high quality laminate & engineered flooring for a reasonable cost - even when full price!

Nice, clear and precise listing with the discounts and the links. Top marks !

Did you lay it yourself? I want to do my downstairs and I'm relatively good at general DIY type stuff, but I've never done flooring before so was intending to pay someone to do it, but if it's simple, then I might give it a go myself.

Also, is there much noticeable difference between Oak laminate and Oak (other than the price?)

Laying either is super easy and you don't need much in the way of tools (tape measure and a jigsaw, pull bar & mallet are also useful). The only tricky part is if your room is an odd shape. Would definitely give it a go yourself at first.

Cheers op for the heads up.

Mind you I've 26 boxes of kitchen tiles to lay and then the dining room/living room to floor with something

Thank You

Anyone got any deals on a jigsaw that would be handy in laying this stuff. Cheers

Anyone any experiance of Kardean ? Is it more robust ?

Thanks for the heads up OP, looking to replace a floor in the near future!

I'd definitely give it a go yourself first. My husband is certainly no DIYer (by his own admission too) but he's managed to lay our kitchen and bedroom floor by himself. Didn't even need to buy any additional packs for mistakes! Now I don't know what the going rate is but I've seen some people advertising £100+ per room for fitting.

Glad to see someone say that! I've heard quite a few people say bad things about Wickes laminate flooring. I bought some of the Venezia oak laminate a couple of months back was but haven't had a chance to fit it yet and I was starting to worry I'd made a bad choice.

To the person asking about Karndean, it's a completely different product and will probably require quite a bit of prep first. It also needs glueing down and cutting edging strips if you want a decent effect. Laminate flooring is considerably thicker and just needs some appropriate underlay from what I've read. This is like fake floorboards whereas Karndean is square/rectangular plastic-y tiles.

Any chance that you can upload a picture of your floor please? Just want to look at the finished product aside from the stock photo, thinking of getting this for a whole house renovation. Thank you

Looking at getting 8 packs of the Venezia Oak for a bedroom with less than even floor boards. Can any of the guys who have fitted it recommend some decent underlay that will help balance things out?

Real life pictures would be great as well.

Cheers

Bought 39 packs of Venezia oak 12mm thick. A floor layer came to give us a quote, when he saw the flooring he tore it to bits! The ends will break and the 8mm is far better. What do we do now,can anyone give advice ?

Haven't had a single problem with it?
