Used to be really nice a quality footwear. Most aren't even made in the UK.
I have a pair of docs for work, definitely not worth the money.
In before "they used to be good but are now rubbish"...

I've had a pair for twenty two years and still going strong. I am guessing that mine were UK made ones.

4 new uppers and six new soles, Trig?
Are there boots as comfy and more long lasting than timberlands? I wear my timberlands daily and noticed the soles are almost complete gone after almost a year, still very comfortable though.

DM's were very much the ticket in late 70s/early 80s during Punk then Ska era. There's very few would wear them now apart from those ageing punk head's still stuck in a time warp

Speak for yourself.. I wear black DM 12 hole boots almost daily in the office.. This pair are about 3 years old, previous pair made it to 6 years before I walked the sole through.

Thank you for that. Lived in Welly for 10 years and didn't know they were just down the road.
Off to take a look today:)
If you want the quality they used to be go for Solovair; they're using exactly the same manufacturing process and their shoes are identical, except these ones are still made in England.
