Tesco have a drink festival currently and noticed that they have upto half price on wine BUT if you by 6 bottles you will get another 25% off!

Note this is via Tesco Groceries so you can stack it with say £15 off a £60 shop for even more of a discount

can use codes XX7MCR or XX3FP6 i can see

Note this includes ALL wine except fortified across the grocery site

discount will be on your receipt and not in basket (see 1st post)

Spiffing chap.

can use codes XX7MCR or XX3FP6 (New customers only)

I'm not really a wine drinker but hot deal with the multiple discounts and the additional £15 off £60 spend. Heat added

New customers only

It looks like >25% added before the 25% deduction. Does the offer apply to all Tesco wine or just the limited selection below the banner? It's not very clear especially as you don't know what you're being charged until you receive the delivery.

If you do a c&c or delivery with the £15 off a £60 spend (new customers), if I fill my basket with £60 and use the voucher to take it down to £45 will it be allowed or will they remove the voucher as the extra 25% has to come off the receipt at the end and this will dip it under the £60 spend at the end?

So ive bought five bottles of £4.99 and one of £5.49, to take the full price to £60.99 added delivery at £3 .£63.00 added the £15 off code and these will be. Half price, am i paying £18 in total?

No- Tesco no longer allow a £15 voucher to be redeemed if the shop is under £60 ON THE DAY Of collection/delivery (they r still showing at the full price at the moment not the reduced price that will be applicable to your order) - this used to be a good trick but they fixed it a few months ago - your voucher may show online as being applied but they will just remove it on collection/delivery, hence my question above

Yes, or you can take it and phone up Tesco customer service claiming the price quoted on the screen and hope that they refund the £15......quite a few people in the beginning did this and got it back

Gave heat even tho posted, never thought about new cust code

So the bottles are still showing up full price for me at around £9.99. I know it's normal for the extra 25% off not to show, but is this normal?

does this exclude champagne as the other deal did?

So is this the tesco wine offer we've had in the past? The one that's gone super hot?

If your question relates to the deal mentioned in Post number 3, then the answer is in Post 4.

Are we sure this is across all wine in tesco groceries? When I click the banner that explains the offer it only shows a small selection of wines. Where does it say all wines?

Ignore my comment, after clicking on various wines not shown when clicking the link it still mentions the offer. So it is across all wine, including champagne, apart from fortified wine. Always good to answer my own question after posting it

All bottles are showing half price for me? You will be charged price on the day anyway and looks like it's updated on site

Original Poster SuperEd

@ferrim I do that all the time

I presume, as it is Tesco grocery, then the 25% won't be available in Scotland as the wine will be coming from a local store. Thus the loophole that applies to the Tesco wine site won't apply.

So what happens if they don't have the wine you want in stock (on the day) and they reduce this from the price therefore removing the £15 saving?

Has anyone tried this instore yet? Have Tesco done there famous 25% off the rrp?!

I have 16 bottles I am planning to order.

Before promotions: £81.09
-25%: £60.82
-£15: £45.82

Price Per Bottle: £2.86 ???

Didn't see the 25% off 6 bottles yesterday instore.
Might wander back today and have a look. Still have a £5 off a £40 spend voucher, so could be time to buy some wine - Cheers OP!

Started in store today according to checkout staff in Durham Tesco.

Just came back from tescos and they do have the 25% off when you buy 6 bottles and you can use the £5 off £40 spend with it too and you will get another £5 off £40 spend for next week for every £20 you spend

No 3for£12 or 2for£10 at my local. Worth scanning clearance wines locally as they clear old stock. Tesco together with their new till systems appear to have tightened things up with very few glitches and 1p deals at my local and with the £15 new customer voucher now with conditions. Will give this one a miss as their prices are inflated in recent times

Some idea of how this works out. Vina Alibi or Isla Negra Reserve Merlot would be my pick for cheap drinkable reds.

In that case that answers my above question.

Thanks

Bought the 2 cases deal, now fgot tsi one with the £15 off too, even though I have ordered from the groceries site before.

I think the Marselan Rare Petites Ballades is good vale for money.

So the total price of the order, after 50% discount and extra 25%, must be over £60? Are you certain? Source?
