Noting like spreading the love baby
Some great prices in there - fifa for about 17 quid provided you've been hording the 10 dollar psn discounts
May consider Yakuza, got $48 on my account about time I spend something.
Not a patch on the deals now on the UK store
Could be useful if you have the 20% code sent out last week and pick up some credit from G2A.

Go for it. Decent game
Even cheaper via the Canadian account as usual. It's always same store (near enough) but better exchange rates.

I've never seen Canadian PSN credit on offer on pcgamesupplies though.

Do your research first. FIFA for example is £29.99 on UK store, on US store £22.65 using $30 credit from pcgamesupply at current rates

Yes but it doesn’t take long, you need to use a different email address and get a free US ‘shipping’ address from borderlinx

Nice one, thanks
Sorry this is gonna sound stupid but is the game tied to account you create to buy it, or do you receive a code to use on any account? Looking to get a game as a gift so ideally would like it come in the form of a code. Thanks

The game is tied to the account it is purchased on (no redeemable code is issued) and can only be downloaded via that account. It is possible (and many here will have done so) to set up multiple accounts (for yourself, say), on the same console, for each of the different PSN stores (UK, USA, CANADA mostly).

When game has been downloaded via your USA or Canadian account you can log out, sign back into your main UK account and play the game as normal, under your main account. It will also then use your UK Playstation+ if applicable for multiplayer (so you don't need PS+ for Canadian or USA accounts for multiplayer games as long as you have it for the UK and play the game under your UK account).

The Canadian store has the advantage that often games are priced the same in USA and Canadian dollars, but (outside of any special, and limited in quantity USA credit deals from pcgamesupply) due to the better exchange rate on the Canadian dollar these can work out significantly cheaper from the Canadian store.

None of this helps with you gifting though. Honestly, I would say don't bother doing it this way. A better solution would be to buy the person a PSN gift card (from PC game supply, you can email them the web link to the virtual card or print a copy of the virtual card out and stick it inside a Christmas card) and let them buy it themselves.

I'm just going to take this opportunity, because you sound like someone that may benefit from it, to mention 2-Factor authentication. If this means nothing to you, really, really look into it.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, but you can't buy more than one (unless you start opening multiple accounts - don't even go there), the deals are usually over very quickly and hence easy to miss and, even then, only bring the dollar exchange rate to the same kind of level as the Canadian dollar.

This means you don't use this cheap USA credit to buy games that are the same price as on the Canadian store. You use the cheap USA credit to buy games that are priced less (in dollar amount) in the USA store. Then you use Canadian credit to get the games that are priced the same on the Canadian store. I think this is the best way to do it.

I bought FIFA18 from US store and there are zero issues of any kind . I wasn’t sure at first how the game would pan out differently being the US version, still Martin Tyler doing the match commentary though but Alex Hunter ends up in MLS on Journey mode, not sure if that applies to all regions etc

If a gift, you could literally set them up with a one time email address/PSN account that only they can access to download and install the game, once done they simply use their main account as others have said. I’ve not done this myself but there’s no reason why this shouldn’t work.
Anyone know how the fifa points and or dlc works if bought with us account will they be available on UK account if buying fifa icon for example?

Thanks, that was very helpful - looks like it would be a fair bit of hassle if gifting but good to know for personal use. And appreciate the end note on 2FA Been using it for a few years now, it's essential to me.

I think this depends on the game, I’ve been holding off buying any more digital games until I’d established what might be wrapped up under our tree (Assassins Creed Origins) so I’ve come back to have a look at LA Noire. At the current rates ie I have no cheap psn credit building up, I’d have to purchase $30 worth of US credit or $40 worth of Canadian credit to complete the purchase. For arguments sake it’s a few pence difference I think, when the Canadian store price matches its US counterpart it tends to work out cheaper yes, but for the most part in this sale same the games I’ve looked at are more expensive by default on CAN site.
