They seem to have quite a few of these sales, which are comparable if not cheaper than Norwegian Airlines prices to the USA, and Thomas Cook include hold luggage and meals on all their long flights.
Did exactly the same! Then cried at the prices of hotels in San Francisco... We've booked extra flights to Las Vegas for 2 days whilst we are there, and it's only worked out about $20 dollars more in total compare to 2 nights in San Francisco!

Disapointed by Virgin since the takeover. Did New York recently with them and had more leg room on the Manchester to Heathrow transfer flight!
I also did this...We are spending few nights in San Fran, driving to Yosemite, driving to Death Valley, Driving to Las Vegas, down to L.A and then up.
Hotel prices in LA was £32 for 2 of us for 2 nights. The other placed made me want to cry though.
Did that guy get de-boarded and is trying to get back on the plane.:|
They are pretty strict in regards to ESTA forms, you have to declare even if you have a caution or spent copnviction.
The USA does not recognise the spent convictions act and if you are found to have lied on the ESTA form its a federal crime (not that they often check).
Your ESTA form will be kept on record for 10+years , so even if you lie and get through one time but then apply for a work visa you will be pulled up for the previous form. One guy was granted a visa, when he reached the US he was arrested for a federal Crime.
So if your going to lie on the form, be sure that you never want to live or work in the US.
With these TC sales I've noticed it's when there's probably a sales lull. The partner flights with Lufthansa end up being longer than just getting a direct flight, and if you booked with flight centre or somewhere during a sale you might end up getting a close to similar deal.
I bought one to MIA a few years ago and the outgoing flight out had less than 30 people on it.
I've just come back from there. I personally Could spend 3 days there and be quite bored after that. A lot of interesting history though (see freedom trail) We took a trip to Salem 20 miles north which was nice, but was really just full of witch museums/gift shops. Apparently packed during Halloween though.
New York City is 4 hours coach away and Megabus is around $10 each way, sometimes even less. We flew into NYC and out of Boston through Norwegian.
as a youngster he had been in trouble with police over 20 yrs ago, he had to request and pay for a copy of spent convictions, however the form came back as clear.
He wished he had just applied for esta, but he was now on system for a visa.
Unsure if this was because it was yrs ago, but unsure how computer systems are linked etc especially for spent sentences,
Is it just that they linked for serious offences.
with Donald trump now in power who knows
