Are these reliable or prone to getting files corrupted every other day?

I bought one of these in america and it was ok for the price but i use to have to hold the drive in a certain way while plugged in for it to be recognised - but it could have been a dodgy one.

For the price if you need a few you can't go wrong, but personally if you need something reliable I wouldn't (like i said mine was from america so who knows).

Did you buy Dane-Elec zLight, or another USB dongle?

These look great for use as "floppy drives" about the house, but would like someone to let me know what the build quality is like.

Bought these to give to work colleagues at Christmas and each one has been used daily since then with no problems at all.

I've ordered these based on my experience of Dane Elec usb drive bought from another company over a year ago, still going strong, no probs

Think prob depends on usage, I mainly use mine to back up files once a week

I have one of these, works pefectly fine, very good USB drive.

At this price its a bargain, very very cheap, voted hot.

Total of 10gb for £14.99..not that cheap.
Ok if you want to share them amongst people

I bought these a few weeks ago. All of them are perfect so far. Highly recommended.

Marginally more expensive than the play.com pink wristband jobbies, but those seem to be out of stock now. Good price anyway. heta added.

What makes you say this?

Only fakes (or damaged ones) are likely to behave in the way you mention

Not strictly true, a lot of poorly made unbranded ones can corrupt files. One of the reasons unbranded ones are cheaper is because they don't undergo the same rigourous testing as branded ones like Sandisk do.

These are great little drives, the case has a rubber texture which is nice. Dane Elec is a good brand of memory.
