Thats about the going rate for these atm, you can get for cheaper from play.com with free postage.

To be fair, if you order a few this is still a good price. Also, I have DaneElec usb pens here and they are incredibly fast and reliable.

Sin

The other Dane Elec- High Speed 173x Read pen on the site has a write speed of 7mb per sec

If this is the same it is a very poor deal

Fast pens are good & a premium product but it has to be balanced between read/write speeds

What absolute rubbish. Show me a USB pen that has the same Read/Write speed that is fast. A kingston japan (fastest SDHC) only achieves 7.3 MB/s write speed. Read speed will always be faster than write.

OCZ ATV Turbo, OCZ Rally 2 Turbo, PNY Attache Pro even.

There are awesome sticks out there, you just gotta find 'em! Also, Buffalo used to make some really fast ones.

Fujifilm one on 7dayshop.com (splash proof) actually does seriously well for £18. 23mb/s read, 17mb/s write if I remember rightly. Bought one but I then lifted my laptop up with it plugged in -> bent.

That probably invalidates everything I just said (by defining myself as useless...) but it's true!!
