How cool is this - £10 off too

Simply plug this double tape deck into your computer and you can start converting tapes into MP3s faster than you can say 'I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar'. It's easier than the old 'Rec'+'Play' finger stretch.

There are MUCH cheaper ways to convert cassettes to MP3, this is just for the lazy people.

jukkie is right. If you already have a cassette deck (even a cheap walkman will do) you can connect it to your PC's soundcard with a simple 3.5mm jack-to-jack cable (£1-2 if you don't have it) - or appropriate alternative depending on the sockets available. Then record & convert the resultant sound files with free Audacity software.

does this do the recording in real time or is it faster?

I have been converting some old BBC Radio1 'In Sound' recordings from the seventies by using the free Audacity software andplugged into a spare stereo in the office. It runs at real time but it does give you chance to listen to it again. It works really well and allows you to edit the the files after. I now have AC/DC two hour Xmas special on a CD .... Save your cash

How cool is this

.. pretty cold looking at the temperature gauge

You have got to be joking! £90 for a tape deck??!!!! This is an even colder deal than the k800i for a hundred quid, by about 50 times!!! This is so cold its approaching absolute zero. We have entered a new ice age.

It is a good idea, but at £90 only the people with money to burn will buy this, seen them go for £40-£50 on fleabay.

How Cool is this? Not Very!:p

Well, for ease of use and push button operation, I think there might be a point in these. But one of the thing that I can't but wonder about is the double tape-deck :? Why? Yes double tape decks were the thing in cassettes day so you could copy tapes but the whole point of this device is to digitise cassette. Why double tape deck?
