At 6A it will be more use than the other one.

I have this item, and IMHO it is somewhat temperamental. It charges the iPhone 5 OK, and pretty quickly, but the iPad can sometimes be "charging" forever before it makes any progress, and at best it takes all night. And if you try more than one machine at a time, then forget it for the iPad ever getting above where the charge was when you plugged it in.

Thanks Chuck, sounds to me like the quoted current simply ain't true. I've found that with a number of chargers, they state 2A, but are more like 700 mA.

Prefer the Anker charger over this

same here.

I have one of these, bought for £10, does a good job charging my Apple kit

That'll be because Anker is notably more expensive - which is of course why it has better build and application quality. I've bought a few things from TeckNet in the past and everything's worked fine for me, admittedly though if I wanted to take a step up I'd definitely buy Anker products as they are definitely worth the price you pay!

We bought one of these the other week. Charging 4 Ipad 1's with it no problem. They all charge pretty quickly and to 100% so I've not got any qualms. If I had the budget i'd have gone for the 40w Anker! But this'll do

In which case this current price is at a high so the opposite of a deal? Cold for me, especially with the debate about the quoted current specs.

When it was £9.99, it didn't went anywhere hot. But when it's more expensive, it went boiling... :P

I'm just a sore loser.. hehehe

Eh, it's always this price and actually often cheaper.

Can someone link me to the Anker product that does the same job? This sounds okay but I think I would be better investing in the Anker one.

This is the one I have - Anker 5

Charges multiple devices well.

The black version is sold out but the white one is still available

I've owned one of these since Xmas, as some others have commented the power output doesn't seem to be as high as claimed. It is detected by my Nexus 5 as a USB charger (rather than AC mains, but unsure whether that is the cause or effect) and takes longer to charge it than the original Nexus mains charger.

Thanks for the link. I've ordered as it sounds fantastic! Hopefully it will live up to my expectations. The 1 review was a little odd! Lol.

I wouldn't worry about the review. her baby's head is obviously bigger than your average baby's head.
she said it's a normal size head. but it's obviously massive!

I think I ordered the last black 40W at the weekend - went oos just after.
That white listing looks odd in that the option is for a "boys" size and the review is for a hat.
Some short flat noodle usb cables would go nicely with this.

I use the Anker charger and it does a great job, can be had this price when they do a promotion.
