Bought this before to convert my VHS tapes into digital format that can be burned to a cd/dvd. Very useful and cheap.

Can you convert 8mm camcorder tapes to digital with this as well?

Cheap but are there any Win 7 drivers, or any 64bit ones for any flavour of windows?

You can if your player/cam has the correct connections.

Voting this Cold because I've had 2 of these in the past few weeks a EasyCap (fake) and a EzCap (genuine ) and neither of them have worked under windows 7 64 bit or windows vista 32 bit.

You can always run Virtual XP in Win 7 if this doesn't work directly with your Windows version.

Don't expect too much quality wise with this adapter.

But invariably the problem is rather the quality of the Analogue to Digital Transfers. And factor in editing all the transfers.

Like a couple of other people here I bought one of these devices but it does not run on Windows 7 64-bit. Better to spend a bit more and get something that works.

@lamb85 could only be down to ur computer or you didn't follow instruction as I'm using Windows Vista 32 and it works fine.

I have used the following driver on win 7 64 bit

answers.microsoft.com/en-…e=5

The filename is USB-AVCPTSetup_For_Win7.zip

can this be used as a caption card ie record ps3/xbox gameplay?

It should be able to capture XBOX360 on basic AV Cable included, but with real poor quality.

looks good

This looks like the Easycap one to me. I do know if they have updated it or not but I tried using with Vista to no avail.

If these are still the cheap nasty clones using the STK chipset then it appears they are supported under Ubuntu 11.04 and you can use them for Zoneminder. I've got what appears to be one of these and also the 4 channel CCTV version and they both work fine under 11.04.
