bought one of these and found it was not very good,
the quality it produced was very poor and the picture would freeze plus sound would not be in time with the movie.

my pc is good spec and only a year old so i would imagine it is not to blame.
just my opinion.

I can only assume it's down to malfunctioning user error!

What you get to work with in Cyberlink Powerdirector or any other editing software is only down to what size/quality/type the original source started with to transfer and also what settings you transfer too.

These are about £5 on ebay.

It will be the dongle that is a crappy chipset, the best you can get without going down the Hauppague PVR road (£100+) is the ezcap 116 etc based on the DC60+ chipset for around £20. Even then you'll only be getting this sort of quality.

I use NCH debut 1.64. Not all software deals with interlacing and some demand a higher spec PC/laptop than others.

There are many different chipsets, some are OK chipsets, some are pants chipsets; for £5 you will be getting the contents of someone pants chipset.

They are DC60 chipsets (or equivalents) only at best.

My father in law bought one of these for me. In my opinion it was a waste of money and I wouldn't spend £20 of mine on it especially looking at the equivalents at 1/4 of the price
