Bought one of these ages ago. Fell apart within a week.

I bought one of these and took it on holiday to charge up everyone's phones. It's very good for the price. It worked for blackberry, Nokia and iphone

i bought one, short circuit. Do not buy, donate your one pound to charity.

These are sold all year round from poundland and as their other products are priced at just £1 all year round too so what exactly makes something that is always sold somewhere for the same price all year round a deal? I could easily fill this website with their other electrical components like these but it be pointless if they can't be considered a deal if they are only sold at one place for the same price all year. Cold.

I use one of these at work to charge my phone, works great

Gotta agree with muckilla's logic... This site appears to be the Poundland product endorsement site, please read the name of the site - it's HotUKDeals...
Seriously how can something that sells at the same price all year round reach 1056? hotukdeals.com/dea…408

Hit and miss these Poundland phone things. Some work fine, others for a bit and others again not ever. Had one of these and it falls into category 3!

I only uploaded it because I never knew they were for sale so purchased one and my logic is if half of the people know abouth them then me along with the other half of the population didnt know so thought id share the info

These have been in all the Poundlands I've been into, never been tempted to try them with my smartphones before - I don't like the idea of a single USB lead sprawling out into multiple connectors - can't imagine the wiring is all that great and it's low gauge wire too. Last thing I need is a cheap cable breaking a Note II or iPhone.

The best cables I had were the ones I put on here before but they don't do any more (so if they came back that would be a deal worth posting) and they were 3 cables in a pack but very short leads (10cm or so) coming with micro-USB, mini-USB and iPod/iPhone, not only was this very practical to carry around but they were direct leads and still reliable to this day.

To be fair, this does make sense and for people who don't know it's worth mentioning but personally I wouldn't trust my phones or devices with these.

the company Poundland use for earphones & leads are really poor don't know how many earphones I've had that didn't last a week. In this case you get what you pay for AVOID!

good luck with using one of those. I have taken apart pound land usb charges in the past. clean signal they are not, wouldn't want to put my £200+ phone through them.

This charger is very good. I use them all the time, at work, at home and in my car and never have any problems.

No Lightning connector, cold.

I'm joking but in all seriousness these are sold all the time, all year round, at the same price. This isn't a deal.

These are absolutely useless - Couldn't supply enough current to charge up any of the 3 of the phones i tried.

So,
A: this isn't a deal as its been sold in poundland for ages and i don't think its necessary to post everything that poundland has in stock and call it a deal and
B: This is about as usefull as a kettle made of ice.

It's just a cable, it is not a power supply. Try it with a different power source and it will work, as reported by lots of people.

The quality might not be the best, but it will do the job before braking apart, and if handled properly, it will last long enough.

BANG!

Tried it in both Laptop and in-car USB charger. Both failed to charge up the phones, i put it down to thin wires inside (unless i just got a bad cable) but it put me off buying another

Works fine for me. Had it for nearly a year now.

Not necessarily true, (although, of course, they are just a cable, not a charger!). If these sync data also, then they will only ever charge at 500mAH which is USB charging, regardless of whether an AC outlet is used.

I've bought a few cables from poundland and they do charge but my battery depletes faster than it charges. &&they don't transfer data (well not the 2 I've bought anyways).

Bought it 3 months ago and still working fine. Sony Ericsson is missing and remember, they don't transfer data.

You can get an adaptor similar to this specifically for the Sony Ericsson tho instore for £1 i see the other day.

Sooooooooooo cold.

I bought one of these and the cable length is incredibly short. It also doesn't actually connect the phone to the computer, it just draws power.

No one should buy anything from Poundland or Poundworld which isn't branded - it's cheap tat.

Never worked - avoid.

I'm going to take a guess you bought this to transfer data from a device to your pc. This is for charging means only and this adapter does not support data transfer. Which is why it's stated as a charger and not a usb data cable adapter.

Bought one of these about 6 months ago. Wrecked the battery in 2 phones.

Nope, bought it as a charger - who owns a pc this decade? my data travels through the air.

PC means Personal Computer. Most people own one lol weather it be a desktop all the way to a tablet. Some even consider mobile devices such as iphones a mini or pocket pc.
