My geeky side likes this but it does come across as one of those items I never knew I needed, although in this case I really don't need it for the 5 times a year I staple things.

Fun little present for someone though. Wonder if I should buy the secret santa for work this early?

Just think...what noise will it make? A satisfying "clunk"? Maybe a "whirrrrrr clunk"? Maybe even a "buzzzz whirrrr clunk whirrr"...

I feel your pain I also want this very badly for no reason.

I'd give it a shot if it was under a fiver...

How can USB possibly generate enough power for a stapler?

I think the clue is in the frequently bought together - 4 AAA rechargeable batteries.

Good device for persons suffering arthritis is their wrist joints and hands.

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll change the title. What a crock!

hmm could have been better then - a recharge circuit would have given enough juice for light usage is have thought. shame.

True, but would someone with those problems be terribly likely to be capable of working at a keyboard anyway?

Have to say I think this is the laziest product I've ever seen, tho if it were two pounds I'd be tempted for geekiness reasons.

What they need is a matching USB Staple Remover.

Why?

Why?

I'm sure I saw a HUKD somewhere for a sense of humour . . .

Why not?

I've got one of these - they're good fun!

amazon.co.uk/Rex…1-1

Be aware though that these (including the OP's stapler) only staple a few sheets. Put too much paper in it and it jams which is a nightmare.

The 30+ pages electric staplers are alot more expensive! eg. amazon.co.uk/Rex…1-2

I had one of those when I was a kid, but I broke it when I took it apart for experimentation

first glance i thought it was a bus....
