as it is being shipped abroad, are there not any tax and custom duty fees?

I have ordered from them serveral times no custom's or anything to pay... only thing is that it can take 3 weeks to arrive.. mine tend to come withing 10-14 days!. I'm sure more people on this site will agree they are goood

Dirt cheap, but don't expect much for the price. Can have it's uses.

Fee's only come in over a certain amount, relatively sure it's roughly £20 or over.

Anyone know if this would work with the Turtle Beach X41 to allow you to use the MIC on the PS3? if so very cheap option.

Seems to work on the X11

It used to be £18.Not sure if it's still that or not.

Hi,

No, only amounts over £18 approx require to be declared (£22 if marked as gift). Besides, DX always put values as $2 or $8.

I use something very like this to connect a 3.5mm microphone to my PS3. Very useful.

Just wondering as it only has one 3.5mm jack (analogue) , how on earth can it create a virtual 7.1 sound?

If you just want a cheap USB sound card why wouldn't you get one of the even cheaper ones (on dealextreme) ? or if you really want 7.1 pay $17 for a true surround sound (optical out, multiple ports etc) ?

Not critising, genuine questions

Because it's virtual surround using two speakers, not seven.

If it outputted 8 separate channels then it would hardly be virtual 7.1 now would it?

Why would you do this to your ears? You only ever get one set...

Thanks for the share - ordered one to try on my Hackintosh, as internal sound card not recognised by snow leopard.

Cheers,

P

Actually duty used to be charged on items over £18.

The last budget cut that to £9.

Worth bearing in mind for future ref.

Where did you hear that, £9 would be taking the pee.

HMRC still says £18 (section 2.3, last revised April last year)

customs.hmrc.gov.uk/cha…ent

[edit] £9 into the EU, currently £18 into the UK, dropping to £15 from November.

likely to be rubbish, The 7.1 bit is likely meaningless, anyway all PCs have basic sound nowadays
