Wireless USB weather forecaster.

I bought one of these last year when it was this price.

Interesting bit of kit, and you can even setup a weather station webpage if you use Cumulus software rather than the one that comes with it.

Bit nerdy I know, but us British have got to have a past-time

Touch LCD screen Weather Forecaster and alarm
Indoor / outdoor temperature (C or F)
Wind speed and direction (mph or kph)
Self emptying rain gauge (mm or inches)
Indoor / outdoor humidity
Barometer pressure with trends
''Easyweather'' software included to link to PC via USB
Historic data storage and display (stores data on PC only)
LCD panel wall mounts or desk mounts
Wireless range up to 60 metres (clear line of sight)
Batteries last over 12 months
Operates on 5 x AA batteries (sold separately)
Take the guess work out of the very unpredictable British weather. The USB Wireless Weather Forecaster is feature-packed with an affordable price and will give live weather updates there and then. Be in no doubt the USB Wireless Weather Forecaster is the elite for its category.

I think the only thing missing is an automatic plot of the recorded data so far

Voted hot with a 40% percent chance of light precipitation early evening.

It's asking for a name & password.

The guy that reads our local weather station said we had over 2 inches of rain overnight i find it really interesting .
I noticed in store at maplins last week that they had money off vouchers at the till which could be useful
I have had some sent in the post but not sure if the codes can be used by anyone

Heat for the Cumulus software alone, i have this station at my school, was easy to set up. Was using another piece of software on 30 day free trial but will take a close look at Cumulus software Thanks

Oh and good price for the kit!

I wouldn't say it was as easy as pie to setup....but as long as you're ok with a screw-driver and can mount the pole somewhere in clear air, then it should be fine.
Cumulus takes a little configuring to get it right, but that is fairly straight-forward too.

The range can be upto 60metres according to the specs. My unit sits about 5 metres off the ground, and about 15 metres line of site away....would like it higher, but it's not practical at the moment.
I did see one mounted as high as the top of a 3 story house in Broadstairs, and it gets quite windy there, so should be ok.
The touchscreen unit is connected to the PC via a standard A to B (I think) USB lead

Here's a pic of my setup....looks abit messy, but does the job

Very impressed with your webpage.

That is the standard Cumulus template that comes with the software...you just have to copy the pages to your site and set the software up to copy the data over. My data is sent every minute I think.
Also you can set Cumulus up to send updates to Twitter....this I have setup for every hour.

I think I might take the plunge

might take me a while to get it online but keen to gave the rest a bash and set it up - only thing is my garden is a bit sheltered in areas so not sure of the rest - might even hoot it up to the fence not sure that the neighbors will think of that but a good few away from them.
