USC Newcastle in Administration 45% off non-sale items & 35% off sale items

This is in the Newcastle branch, not sure if it is nationwide but I picked up 2x G-Star Shirts and some Gio Goi sand shoes all with 45% off for just over £80.

Total should have come to £156.58 but after the 45% off it came to £86.13

The sale said it excluded G-Star Raw Denim items but the shirts were part of the denim label so must just mean items like jeans and jackets are excluded.

is this everywhere?!?!?!?!?! i have been waiting for the sales to start in USC...everytime i check its just the normal sale

Not sure mate, they had loads of gear also and not just daft sizes!
Must have just started as they had plenty of stock in. Also it wasn't advertised very well and had to ask as it was 45% off of the marked label price and had to make sure the G-star stuff was covered.

Original Poster

LOL the people voting cold.
Doesn't bother me just wanted to give everyone heads up!

Original Poster

Just to emphasize that this applies to EVERYTHING bar certain G-star items!

im so tempted to go to the meadowhall one just to see if its everywhere...would be a wasted journey if not though and would feel well cheeky calling up and practically sayin "have you started selling up, and losing your job"

...phoned them after all and they say they arent having a sale like this

Original Poster

I would just ring them up and ask if the 45% off sale is on.

I think people are voting cold because the prices before the discount are ridiculously high anyway. I can't believe anyone would be willing to pay the RRP - perhaps that's why they're in trouble.

Original Poster

I agree mate but at 45% off they are in my eyes a good buy compared to what the other retailers are charging.
Nevermind, hopefully this will benifit anyone after some of the gear they sell.

Only a few of the shops are in administration anyway:

I remember seeing a sign saying that USC Limited were going into administration on the counter if that helps?

2 shirts and some sandshoes?
For £80??????
ROFLMAO
They saw you comming all right lol

Couple of t-shirts and some flip-flops for nearly 90 quid, bargain.............NOT!

I got 3 pairs of Jeans and a shirt on Saturday, paid 90quid, rrp should have been closer to £350

It will be specific stores that are involved in this, eg Glasgow Braehead store had no sale in it at all when I passed earlier today

We were in the Newcastle shop last Tuesday and they had 45% off. Bought my son loads of jeans, shirts and jackets and saved a fortune.

Great deal for your upper class chavs.

Sometimes the people on here really get me wound up. Christ if its not £5 for a full suit, shirt and tie people vote cold! I love Diesel jeans as they last roughly 3 times longer than lesser quality items and they fit me well. I know that for the same price I could get 25 pairs of tesco jeans but there is a HUGE quality difference.......the material, finish and fit being the top ones. So, for me this is a great deal...thanks for posting.....have some heat and for everyone else this thread moaning......go and look somewhere else!

We're not moaning.
We're laughing at you.
If you can't tell the diference that's why you buy "The emperor's new clothes" lol

Laugh it up!
I am glad I amuse you!

I have to disagree with you there. Its not a deal if you can get the same item(s) for much cheaper at another shop. Its not a deal if there are similar/practically identical items available for much cheaper. Its not a deal if the RRP is vastly inflated. Its not a deal if you have no interest in the item(s) or they are of no use, although the first should be the only reason for people to vote cold.

In regards to the actual deal, even with the 45% off its still more than I would pay for clothes so I'm not going to vote, but I'm sure its a help for others with a higher disposable income.

Hi, please can you post a link to the shop that was selling them for cheaper?
Did it include delivery and did they have all sizes/colours in stock?

I don't know a shop selling them cheaper, nor would I be interested in doing so, nor could I due to you not giving all the details.
I'm just criticising your flawed logic. Just because something is available/advertised as being much cheaper than the RRP, doesn't mean its worth buying.

That is a ridiculous thing to say as its blatently not true.
An example would be a USB pendrive where the shop gives the rrp from what it was sold for years ago. No matter what the percentage saving is, its not a deal if you can get the same item for half the price elsewhere.

It is a good deal..

Were else can I get Diesel jeans for £40 ? or shirt for £12 when the RRP was 95 and 50 respectively ?

Sure you can get jeans and a shirt cheaper, but the cut and quality is a lot better for Diesel than primark.

Not sure why you are posting in this thread then if you aren't that interested.
At the end of the day I think you are missing the point. The deal was the discounts and not the personal items that I bought (that was used as proof of purchase).
G-star stuff probably is one of the most expensive brands they have, they also had many other cheaper lines all discounted further.

You obviously don't understand RRP.
RRP is "Recomended Retail Price" Not the actual selling price.
They both differ vastly as the RRP is merely a carrot to make fashion slaves think they are getting a bargain by buying a shirt etc, made in the same sweatshop as Primark but with a Chav label on when it is sold at the actual selling price.

Talking about stupid....you go on paying "stupid" prices for clothes that your m8's want you to wear because you don't have a mind of your own.

hahaha...i wish ur last statement was true.... i got two lil kids...they are my 'mates' ....

look i dont disagree that its all about the label...but what im saying is that if ur after the chav label then this is a deal....im voting on merit.

Same price as the flat caps.
They did however have a deal on that if you bought a flat cap and slippers you got a pipe for free.
