Already bought from Merlin cycles this morning.
Would they not price match based on including delivery? I saw this this morning but saw Merlin Cycles seem a lot better than Go Outdoors on the reviews so bought from Merlin instead.
I bought it this very way at Christmas, very happy with it.

Best thing to is that Merlin only had the 22" frame in stock (still do), I only wanted a 20" and Go Outdoors price matched on the bike and not the size so you can pick any size you want from Go Outdoors when you get there.

Brilliant, I was waiting 4 months before they knocked £10.90 off this. Thanks op, can finally afford it.

Sarcasm must be your strong point, maths most definitely isnt.

When you order if you speak nice to them, you could try and get them to throw in a pair of stabilizers as well.

Cheers OP, went to my local store this morning, tried the bike and then got them to price match it. They didn't even check the size in stock at Merlin's. 😁

I need a new commuter bike and am considering this (little point in spending silly money in my mind, I am not an enthusiast, I won't be going cycling 50 miles in one go, my commute is a tad under 4 miles each way), I like that it has quick release wheels both front and back like my current bike, the ones on offer in this price bracket at Halfords right now are only one or no quick release it seems. Would have preferred a hybrid bike and also the colour of this seems a bit garish, but there is no denying the low price. Maybe I'll pop in after work for a proper look and feel of it if they have one on display in my local.
Does it come with peddles?
Didn't work for me. Phoned up they said it has to be like for like on the size they only have a 22" instock on merlincycles
Went in to store, they said it had to be the same size but when I got home they had emailed me a number to ring and they allowed me to order a different size. Thanks for the post OP.

I didnt mention size when ringing for the price match, and the email to print and take into store makes no mention of size
Good price OP, but I’ve gone for the Merlin one as they’re a proper bike shop, know their stuff and are local to me, so easy to return if I’ve any issues.
Went instore, the bike guy in store was great, really nice and helpful. I felt he was honest with his opinion as well, ultimately ended up buying it, not seen anything close for this money. It isn't quite as garish a colour as it looks in photos, still bright blue, but photos look almost luminous blue and it isn't quite that bright.

I am debating whether I put it through Cyclescheme as well now to save even more, haha. I believe even though I have paid, they can refund me and re-process it through that so am tempted, especially now I have discovered that you can get more than one bike at a time so if another great deal comes up on say a hybrid or folding bike, I can get that on the scheme and run alongside this.

Merlin out of stock now..
Anyone recommend some good mudguards for this? I've got SKS Beavertail XL on my previous hybrid, but this has fatter tyres so not sure the same ones will work as well (though they do say they are suitable for all mountain bikes with extra fat tyres).
I managed to get Go Outdoors to price match and phoned the order in, operator didn't add £5 card to order to chuffed to get the bike for £143.10 delivered, thanks Steve
picked mine up last night and took put for a run this morning, not a bad bike especially given the price.

Service in store was superb, I would say on a par with an LBS, the tech went through the bike bit by bit and made sure.inwas comfortable with how each worked. Overall very impressed!!
