Was looking for some cheap paint brushes and these are ridiculously cheap and have mostly good reviews too. Not expecting top quality of course but they'll do a job.

Yeah, it crossed my mind but then I weighed it up. Either bin the brushes in landfill, or clean with chemicals which end up down the sink, mostly. It is a bit of a dilemma..
heat added
always buy cheap brushes, epec' for none water based/washable paints
if the job is creosoting your fencing or applying anti climb paint to your back garden wall then fine... if you want a good finish on interior woodwork but you're definitely on a budget i'd try out the new harris trade brushes that screwfix do...haven't tried them myself but reviews are vg. of course, it'll cost you 10 x what this set is but, frnakly, i'm used to purdy and they're 10 x the harris brushes so...

all i know is i wouldn't want to spend my day picking out bristles from wet gloss and then trying to brush it out again... and again... and...

Garden incinerator/fire pit will see the back of them. Can't be any worse than the fumes from the local VW owners.
I have used these in the past for a quid very good and the hair Don't fall off
We had similar brushes and yesterday only whilst applying clear grout protector we noticed clear liquid turned black/grey within 1 minute!

brilliant idea

Though might have to get an extra pack, that way I can burn a set on both my wood burning stoves. And whilst they are smouldering away I can go sit nice and warm outside in my Audi A5 TDI watching smoke ruse from my chimneys as my engine is quietly ticking over

Good advice, the Harris brushes are decent from my amateur DIY perspective.
