Yeah but you don't know how many read/write cycles the drive has been through and as it's an external drive it could have been abused, but at least SSD's are less prone to damage. I understand it's cheap but I'd rather buy a brand new one so you know exactly what's been written to it, it's still a lot of money to be chucking around on something used. There's a crucial 1tb SSD for only £35 more, although it's an internal one, its new.

It also turns out that all items sold that aren't "consumable" have a 24 month warranty with CEX

So buy it, ssdinfo it to check its health, return it if you don't want it.
