What an extraordinary sentence.

There is a reason that there are so many available. This phone has a serious problem with ghost touching (when the phone reacts as though it has been rapidly touched even though there is no contact) which causes it to open/close apps, make calls, send texts without your knowledge. Also it cant be used for the same reason when charging.

After buying a Moto G3 16Gb from the warehouse (and twice being sent 8GB versions instead of advertised 16GB) I decided to try the Moto G4 and finally the Moto G4 Plus from the warehouse and had to return both as they suffered from the Ghost Touch problem which is widespread on this phone. Decided to buy a new one instead. Only showed problem when charging so decided to keep it. Ghost touching became evident in everyday use after a few weeks and then became chronic after 3 months when it decided to ring 999 whilst I was looking at my phone and was totally unresponsive to any attempt to end call. Had to explain to emergency operator that my phone had made the call of it's own accord.

Amazon at first said I should send it away for repair (3 weeks ish) and Lenovo would fix the well know problem. I argued and was offered a new replacement that apparently had the ghost touching issued resolved. Got it the next day. Unusable when charging again. Apart from that it is a nice phone but I would seriously not recommend it to anyone because of this problem.

When there will be none left?

Might be worth the punt but quickly going through them all, nearly all bar one good has scratches on screen, most very good also small scratches on screen, but few just say small scratches on side or back of item. At the mercy of the order pickers or maybe robot lol.

This has Android Nougat and will be getting Oreo:
"But if you are cool with last year's tech, Android Nougat is now available for the Moto G4 Plus, making this an even better deal than it already was. Better yet, Android Oreo is coming to this phone later in the year, which is great news for those who are looking for a cheaper phone, or want to stick with this one for a while longer."

Very Good condition and above is where I start seeing no screen/front damage and better condition items, such as scratches just on the side/back. Do we get to pick the exact item?

I had one of these for nine months without problems and then it met with an accident. I have being working my way through Amazon's warehouse stock to obtain a couple of replacements. At that price it is worth having at least one spare. My advice is order one of the two "As New" on page 8 or 9. The listing never seems to change. What you receive appears to be quite random. One time I received black instead of white! But at least if you order "As new" you are in a strong position to complain or return. I have even been offered £50 partial refund to keep the phone. But it is still going back due to ghost touching. It really is a great phone for the money - if you can get one without scratches and is reliable. As weebey said, this phone would have been brilliant if it didn't have the ghost touch issue. My other half and I have both had a couple each replaced from Lenovo, they work for a month or so and then it happens all over again.

Wouldn't recommend it unfortunately.

There look to be lots of G4s and G4Plays at Very Good condition that may still be there for any Amazon Marketplace sale:
amazon.co.uk/gp/…1-2 - £83.37 for the black G4 (which doesn't have the power charger and fingerprint scanner).

What an extraordinary sentence.

Amazon do not do any checks on these. They accept phones back on good faith. Chances are they are utter junk.
Been there, not going back.

The ghosting issue killed it for me. I was patiently waiting for a price drop and then found out about the fault. Such a shame.

That and the G5's processor being a step down in power than it's predecessor, all but killed my love for the Moto brand.

If they get their act together and released a decent budget phone around the original Moto G price point, I'd probably bite again though.

had mine for over 6 months great phone.
ghost touch can happen very rarely if you do a lot of random swiping on the screen, if it happens, just touch the power button a couple of times then close all windows.
it more an easter egg than a problem, not done it on mine in the last 2 months.

Had one of these for 10 months now. Never had a problem with ghost touching.

It will probably be all the phones that were returned with the ghost touch fault, mine included. Great phone apart from the ghost touch which makes it unusable whilst the power lead is connected.

My experience too. My g4 plus had ghosting when charging that then spread to other times. My g5 plus camera is very wonky no more Moto for me

Had mine since it came out, no issues whatsoever. Bargain phone.

Good chance that most of these returns will have the 'ghost touch' problem which is a hassle

Because Its an intermittent problem, it can take weeks for the 'ghost touch' problem to return when the phone is factory reset (which all these phones will be!)

What an extraordinary sentence.

Googoo translate broken.

No idea what this ghost touch is about but I had to return one of these because somehow it was completely bricked after downloading the latest updates. Was sent a new one in return.

Used to always recommend Motorola before Lenovo bought them but now not so much.

If it wasn't for Xiaomis' average cameras even on the Mi A1 I'd probably recommend them instead as the budget friendly brand.

If only there was something decent that ticked all the boxes with a decent camera with OIS. I think the HTC U Play is the only one that has OIS sub £200 but overall it's a rubbish phone.

I can't agree more with you, I have this phone and this ghost touch is horrible, it's uncountable the amount of time it's texted and called people without me being able to abort the operation.

Note that used deals may not always be perfect, e.g. a standard charger rather than the stated turbopower one. A chat with support should fix any issues.

Avoid. So frustrated with the G4 ghost touching, the phone is now bent..
