Price for acceptable is 89.57, used 92.77 with very good at £97.03 - there are loads!
Brand new these are £180 ish and up. Bought loads of things from Amazon Warehouse and inevitably their condition is as new, you can always return as they have the 30 days return policy.

they go for less on eBay, and sound in better condition than these - just my opinion.

worth a punt, can send back if not happy

I thought I would have a look there for used Acer C720's, found this one which made me laugh.

"£119.41 + £5.02 UK delivery
Used - Very Good

Used 3 times however the chromebook does have a broken screen and does not work - can be plugged into a tv via HDMI cable."

I got one of these in 'Acceptable' condition a couple of weeks ago and it was as good as new. A hairline scratch but not at all noticeable.

Would certainly recommend for those wanting a Chromebook.

Is it not worth a few quid more for Used - Good?

When I went for the 'Acceptable' the good was around £15-£20 more, so I decided against it.

To be honest though, the 'Good' can't have been any better than the 'Acceptable' one I got.

The thing about Amazon - You can always return it (at their expense) if it isn't as good condition as you were expecting.

Just ordered a very good one for £97. Bit if a no brainer really. Want to get used to the cloud thing...it's the way forward whether I like it or not!

what warranty does you get ?

These use samsungs own CPU and not Intel, they are truly awful. avoid

Is it still true that this can't play video files like MKV and has no flash video support.

cracking price

some mkv's will play

the problem is with the audio codec - some thing to do with Google not paying licence fees

Indeed, the ARM based ones are a bit of a pain.

My Mum has this CB and it suffers with alot of slow down and lag. I would not recommend it. You can get other used CBs for similar price that are much superior.

agree !

these use a variant of ARM CPU

if you want a Chromebook tehn get the Acer C720 which uses a Heswell based Intel CPU

I have the C720 and use it all the time - very nice device for what it does.

CB are not really full PC / Laptop replacements but a complimentary device - great for travelling !

Yes you can do *most* things a laptop can do

you can use either Google Docs or MS office both on line and off line with a Chromebook

I recently picked up the same Chromebook for a similar price on ebay. country to what one poster stated above this model generally sells on ebay for over £100 quid no matter the condition. Yes you can pick up one cheaper than this but it requires a lot of time and patience.

If you want a chromebook this deal is fantastic. order it and if when to arrives it's to beat up for your liking return it free of charge.

Love my chromebook. Google docs is just as good as word for most things, it's so so light and the battery lasts for ever.

That is not sold by Amazon they dont charge postage,it must be a third party seller

I find that Amazon do not check customer returns - every electric/electronic item I have ever bought has arrived with a fault, so you get the item with the same fault that it was returned with.
For example only this week I returned my Acer switch 10 of 2 weeks because it refused to power up...they sent me a replacement but that arrived unsealed (obviously a customer return) and had the well documented fault with the windows button, now that must have been returned because of that fault so either the customer didn't use it as a reason to return or Amazon just didn't check.
A few months ago I bought a bike satnav - returned this twice as both had same fault.
I guess its not a big problem as you can easily return but it would be interesting to see how many buyers here have to return their Chromebook

Simply untrue, these are perfect for what they were intended. They turn on instantly, and everything works fine. You are basically just using a web browser after all and for this they are fine. The Acer might be better overall or if you want to install Linux but for tha average web user there is very little difference.

I think half the problem is the warehouse staff - I've returned several things with faults described on the returns system. However when the refund comes through the 'reason for return' has often changed to 'not suitable'. I've taken to sticking tape on the item with the fault described - so if they don't even open the box it'll be obvious for the next buyer.

Will Google ever release Chrome OS (or whatever its called) as a standalone so you can run it on a partition alongside windows, or would it never work this way? I have an old netbook which would be perfect for just running the Chrome OS if it could not share with windows...

Absolutely. These things can't run games etc. so the benefits of an Intel Haswell processor just aren't there, it just makes your battery either last less or you end up having a fat battery.

The Samsung chromebook is our family favourite for everything, movies, internet browsing, chromecasting, plex viewing, google video hangouts

I do have a little PITA of re-encoding audio tracks to AAC or MP3, but I've got that for the Chromecast and soon to arrive Amazon Fire TV too.

i have this stuck linux on it. runs fine with littlw slow down and givea about 10 hours battery life one good thing about the arm processor
