Yup I have tried out their service for 3 days and was thoroughly impressed ! Am now on the full package.

u know what i use "hitnews" i got the link off this site its excellent.... paid about 10 quid for 3 months unlimited

did here though that rentention periods are only reliable up to 60 days

I guess you get what you pay for?

Giganews.com - 200 days retention for £12.50
hitnews.eu - 100 days rentention for £6.00

I get 1.7meg a sec on giganews.

its MUCH faster on hitnews.

Been with Hitnews now for over a year - fantastic service - never any problems with retention or the server being down. In fact I just renewed for another 3 months this morning. Great provider.:)

I use hitnews too and would recommend them, retention is ok for me as i tend to go for newer stuff anyway

same here
went for 3 month package as that seems best in terms of contract length and price.

been using them for 3 months...
great speeds... but no where near 100 day retention,
still hot since i use'em
but warning to those looking for retention, you aint gonna get more then 50 days on this one

thanks cyrus, going to give this a go as i used giganews for a few years, had no problems but a bit pricey, so thank you for this info.

Been using Giganews for a week (new to newgroups) and am impressed. I've downloded about 150gb-250gb and am consistently getting between 3-4.5mb (my BB is 4.5) I may switch in a month or two to this......

However, has anyone used these guy: usenet-news.net/

Using 300gb over anytime I want really appeals to me...

Glad I could make a difference

Anybody knows the speed it goes upto?

could anyone explain to me what this is?:)

giganews allows 20 connections, which is usefull to max out your bandwidth.

Dont forget guys to set your client to the max connections your usenet provides, from some speeds, I think some people here are not doing this.

what exactly is this usenet?

is this some alternative to p2p or torrent?

thanks

Okay, I signed up to usenet. I downloaded a client of somesort (which is saying I've reached my search limit). Can anyone help me to get up and running? My 3 day trial is running out....
