Until Thu 2 Nov, new BT broadband customers can apply via this BT link* to get this one-year contract for line rent and up-to-52Mb speed unlimited broadband (up to 3x faster than standard).

It's available to 83% of the UK. It depends on your postcode – you're told when applying (or use our new Broadband Unbundled which only shows deals available in your postcode).

Choose to pay line rent upfront if you can afford to. It's cheapest to pay £208.80 upfront for the 12mths (you must opt for this at sign-up) or it's the usual £18.99/mth. Either way, you get inclusive weekend landline calls, see BT call costs.Discounted fibre, £13/mth for the year. A huge discount on the standard £31/mth.£9.99 upfront. This covers router delivery.Get £120 on a prepaid Mastercard & £40 M&S voucher but you MUST claim them. Annoyingly BT won't remind you, so diarise to use this Mastercard claim link and this voucher claim link. You've up to three months to claim after activation, they'll arrive separately and may take up to 45 days to arrive. - Cost analysis: You pay £374.79 over 1yr before calls if you choose to pay line rental upfront. But claim and use the the M&S voucher and Mastercard (which is as good as cash in most places) then it's £214.79, equivalent to £17.90/mth. If you pay line rental monthly, then it's equivalent to £19.49/mth.

BT would have to pay me.

Your loss. I’ve had nothing but good experience with them. They saved me from being without telephone and broadband when talktalk maliciously terminated our line because I politely refused to hear the sales person’s renewal price pitch. BT had us reconnected within two weeks at no extra cost. At renewal they gave me a decent price so upgraded to 76mb. Just saying my experience has been very good to-date.

This is tempting. With Virgin, just renewed with 100Mb/s fibre, basic TV package and weekend calls. Negotiated them down to £36/month with £30 on my account, which is still pretty expensive. Trouble is Virgin have monopolised the cabling in our area. So to go with anyone else I'd have to have a new line installed, which would take time (probably including a period with no internet at all) and bring an extra cost with it. Frustrating, but at least the service has been consistently good with Virgin.

Can you get quidco with this deal?

BT would have to pay me.

They've actually paid me the first time I signed up with them, and my latest contract is working out at 7p/month after discounts and cashback.

Three new contracts later in 2 different houses and I've also had no issues with them. If anything they send you to many texts to keep you updated, when they're setting up your service.

Yes through bt. You won't get the £40 but the £120 voucher is still there. Just remember quidco isn't guaranteed. Not sure if u switch has cash back

Thanks for your reply. So cashback is only available directly through BT, which is a bit higher at £34.99 a month. Shame cashback couldn't be got with this deal.

Always the same reason BT can't cut it for me is the ridiculous cap which they're now giving a 'massive' 30gb/month after previously being 20gb... How does anyone actually manage to get by with that?! Even if you were just playing 'catch up' with a single episode of a series per day that'd likely use double that these days, so seriously, how is it enough for anyone that is actually into the habit of using bandwidth to what I would consider very reasonable levels? (Let alone people needing 60gb+ just to download a single game on Steam etc)

£80 tcb/quidco

vs

£40 (m&s) + £3x12 (savings in uswitch rate) = £76

TCB just about has it, subject to the risks etc. Not sure what I'd do with an M&S voucher, but it seems a better bet if only to avoid missing cashback stress.

I signed up in June and got 28.99 PM 50mb (9.99 delivery) with £100 MasterCard and £111 cashback on topcashback (which recently paid out) and also I recently got a free boost to 70mb

I don't need it but am.voting hot. Don't forget getting broadband also provides a £60 per year discount (£5 per month) to mobile sim only deals. If you are also after a cheap mobile contract this could be a deal breaker especially given some of the sum deals recently

Spend it in M&S?

I like it, cashback and vouchers have always paid for me with BT and BT mobile SIM only. Recent free upgrade to 76mb and broadband hasn't missed a beat. Certain things are difficult to get however a VPN resolves that.
I just wish companies would bring out value for money tariffs without the need to switch every 12/18 months and claim cashback / vouchers. If I could pay the same price permanently that a new customer offered I would remain loyal and save a lot of messing and worrying if you will lose your phone number of 40 odd years each time

I presumed wrong - every time they send me the leaflets it's never been unlimited despite calling it "Unlimited", but after you said that I've checked it out and seems alright. Even if not taking up this offer it at least opens the door to checking into going with BT in the near future, so thanks for making me aware of there being an actual "Unlimited"!

Is a broadband switch as easy as a gas and electric one? Or so I have to sign up for this, cancel my sky one and arrange the timings to coincide myself? I'm paying much the same for sky ADSL at the minute and wondering is it worth the hassle for fibre... I'm feeling lazy as I'm hungover :-o

Just click the link don't need to contact sky!

christopherwhiteis1,easy to change, especially if you have your own email address/.I was with virgin when i first got BB and i done myself a email ending virginmedia.com which when moving on after 4 years or so to BT meant i had to give myself a new address as you lose it after a while unless you pay a small amount ( i beleive it was then unsure now ) each month i think. So now i've a g mail address so no problems when changing.which will be soon as skys ending in 3 days.

Where can we find the order number for claiming the M&S voucher please? As it says "Any claims starting with a reference other than AJM are not eligible for this offer". I can't find anything starting AJM. Thanks.
