I was looking at the product page for the mouse I use (logitech G600) which appear to be discontinued now, but this mouse came up in suggestions instead, though it has less buttons that the G600 it does have other features such as weight tuning and a way to see on your mouse what dpi you have set.

I think I still prefer the G600 for its larger programmable options, though this should make a good substitution for anyone wanting to spend less, or who is more interested in adjustable weight and dpi setting.

On either mouse I find the 12 button thumbpad amazing in mmos where you use more than 5 abilities regularly.

I had a look around for some of these in the past and they usually suffer from terrible software, kind of important to have decent software on these kind of mice. No idea how this one is like but worth looking into if you're considering this.
Rather expensive - it is just a mouse.

I have one. They are alright but in no way are they worth more than £29.99.
Steelseries rival 500?

If you're looking for a new mouse go over to ocuk they have plenty of topics on decent mice

You don't have 18 buttons on a everyday mouse.
It's a gaming mouse. (mainly for mmorpg and moba)
I really liked this mouse for the price point - Great software, felt good to use, insane amount buttons I assigned to useful shortcuts for Ai/PS.

And then the left click went squeaky within the month so had to return it.

Went for a Logitech for £5 more and is a lot more reliable.

which logitech though? I've been looking to replace a g600 for a couple of year snow but nothing has come quite close to that, tried the razer equivalent, that died in a couple of months
Nothing as complex looking as the G600! I went for the simple G402, has less buttons obviously but it has been extremely reliable for work etc. Changing the DPI on the go is dead handy too.

Tried a Corsair (Harpoon I think) in between there as I heard the manufacturer was decent but it felt awful. I see they have a G600 equivalent but not sure I would recommend the brand after my experience.

I was looking at the corsair mmo mouse but at £70-80 I was put off by the price, nothing I've seen has as many possible hotkeys as the g600 though, I'm very frustrated that they stopped selling it here
