Major design flaw with this.

...and I've bought one anyway. This guy was annoyed that it didn't weigh enough, that it was plastic and flimsy. Which is EXACTLY what I am expecting

I got it, the guy is not happy with the quality and measuring it with a Beurer scale.

Maybe he paid £62 for that lamp.Anyway, good to have these videos so we know what to expect!
Looks like a dyson fan
Don't need it but I gotta have it..... Cheers OP
Where do I put the voucher...?
Proper tat
To add to the other comments. Why is the light on the inside mostly lighting up the 2 switches (balls?). Surely it would work better as a light shining on the outside on the case
I kind of want this, and I don't know why?

Join us in buying something we don't need and probably don't have much use for. That's the spirit of HUKD isn't it?

I think you mean during. Almost 500 deaths in the UK yesterday does not mean after.

Good deal, but sadly out of stock. I'd probably have bought.

How durable is it? It's not.

It has come back into stock. Thanks for the heads-up. More money likely expended on total crap.

Although, I do need a mood lamp for the office.

Have you watch the video above, to see how flawed the design is?

You mean that the switch is activated by removing the magnetic 'nad?

Yes, and the string is too short, meaning the bottom magnet sits on the base (completing the circuit), leaving the lamp on.

Mine'll be connected to Alexa, like all my lamps, so that's not a problem! If it's as shonky as it looks, the string'll probably stretch through time anyhoo. Or snap and fall off. Or go on fire. I'm confident on at least one of those outcomes.

Also - it doesn't look like that would complete a circuit. It looks like it's operated using some kind of Hall-effect sensor in one of the balls that triggers when inside the range of the magnetic field - which it wouldn't be, presumably unless the base is magnetic or there's some kind of build flaw - which I fully expect.

If you watch this video, you can see that's exactly what happens.

For £11, I think I could live with that tbh. I'll be taking it to pieces to see how it works anyways. Maybe I can come up with a solution.
