Can someone kindly help me add a picture..thanks

Always worth checking Amazon.fr and Amazon.de frequently for these as I picked up the red version brand new for £38 delivered.

My only gripe against these is they are really bass heavy if you have fragile ears.

I have a pair of these and spent over 100 hours burning them in through a powerful amp with a big mix of different genres of music. Classical, Opera, Acoustic, Rock, Trance, Dub, etc..

They are now unbelievably sweet and now I can hear my CD player struggling with the high frequency ranges, time to spend some money on modding it.

I have just received a pair of Sennheiser HD 598's from the other Amazon.fr deal last week. How do these V-Moda's compare to the Sennheisers? I feel the Senn's lack significantly in the bass department. Should I get these or hold out for the V-Moda M-100's?

Many Thanks

I've got these and the Sennheiser HD 598s now. Got to decide which ones to keep once the V-MODA arrives!

Let us know what you think..my first pair of open headphones will be 598, 600 or Fidelo X1/X2.

I've now received and tried both the V-Moda Crossfade LP's and Sennheiser HD 598's. Both of these headphones are completely different animals and good in their own ways. I've only used both headphones once so there's been no 'burning in' whatsoever.

The V-Moda's are much more suited to what I was after being a bass-lover. These headphones are great for bass, you can hear all the bass frequencies clearly! The other frequencies (treble) are crisp too but not as crisp as the HD598's.

In terms of hearing every little detail in the music, the HD 598's are way better, the clarity is unreal - it actually makes my spine tingle. The only drawback is it lacks significantly in the bass department and that is my main enjoyment in music. You can hear all the bass frequencies (low, high and mid) but it's not as profound as I wanted it to be. I like the bass to rattle my head

I am definitely keeping the V-Moda's, well worth the £72 investment! The build quality and sound are very impressive. If you are considering purchasing them, go for it before the price increases further!

I'm really surprised this thread hasn't gone hotter than 62 degrees!

Now I just need to decide on what to do with the Sennheiser's, I'm very tempted to keep them too as they sound amazing too - especially for the price I paid!

I think closed and open headphones as you described offer different qualities and sound sigs. If you can afford it I would keep both for different purposes/genres/moods etc
