At the time of posting return flights were £28 from Luton with Ryanair with various times. You only probably need a hotel on the outgoing leg unless you fancy killing a few hrs in the airport and it should be easy enough and cheap enough to find a hotel or hostel in Copenhagen. A friend is currently flying to the Virgin Islands now with Norwegian and is doing these flights and took just hand luggage. Either way it's a huge saving!

Been with NCL on the epic this year; its a great ship but beware $13.50 per day is added as gratuity (15.50 for suites) on top of your bill per person (if you over 3 years old!!). This is newly increased since 2015 and is one of the most expensive in the industry and cannot easily be removed without complaining first to the service desk then in writing to head office.

Edited by: "ajmitchell" 28th Mar 2016

I've booked a cruise through Vacations to Go previously and they are very good to deal with.

The emails they send are just notifications of their current deals and, if you don't want them, there's always the spam filter.

If you are tempted by this deal be aware that drinks on most cruise ships are not cheap and NCL are definitely no exception to this. As johnsymes stated they do have "Inclusive" deals on board but they are $79 a day per person for the full drinks package. Also, if there are 2 of you sharing the cabin you either have to both sign up for it or neither of you.

The other thing about these School holiday cruise deals is that, generally, if you want anything other than a 2 person cabin the price rockets. I guess if there are 2 kids you could have 2 twin cabins.

Edit: Oh, and remember to add the cost of flights to Barcelona.

Ha ha this is so funny my computer was being slow the other day so closed it it went to sleep mode did not think it had gone through. To be fair I did it at 5 ish in the morning after a taxing night shift. Did not go back and look for it as I had thought It would not have been posted or removed by mods. I did say to look out for tax and fuel surcharges, was going to delete the email so shared before. All reasearch required. Im quite happy with my holidays to centre parcs. lol

V2G prices do not include taxes these are $99 so $528 or £331

uk price starts at £343 inc taxes so £10 saving before exchange rate charges.

Not enough to see; too much at sea...

God don't some people winge, you try and post what you think is a good deal for people who may be interested in cruises and look what you get.

Yes it is hotUKdeals but does that mean then from your statement the we shouldn't also post for example cheap tickets to Disney and Universal as that's in Florida?

The QM2 is a great ship. Have made the crossing a couple of times. My preference is to fly out and sail back as it is nice to relax after a holiday in the US. Also a good way to bring back larger items that you have purchased during the holiday that you can't get on the plane. This is a traditional trans-atlantic crossing.

Another option is to book a repositioning cruise when the cruise lines move their ships from the US to Europe in spring and back to the US in autumn. The advantage of this option is low prices and a 2 week cruise combining some Med and Caribbean ports of call with a trans-atlantic east or west crossing rather than just all days at sea on the QM2. The QM2 does great cruises when not deployed on the trans-atlantic crossings at very reasonable prices if booked through US cruise websites.

Disney seem overpriced in the cruise market so could be a good deal for those that are looking at Disney anyway

Always nice to hear from a fellow Florida villa owner. Yes, we have been on a Disney cruise on the Disney Magic and it was fine - too many kids for my taste and didn't like the allocated seating for dinner so wouldn't book with them again. I wasn't saying the price didn't represent good value - merely pointing out that there are other bargains available. I used NCL as an example of what is available - nothing more than that. However, since you have brought it up, if you check the Berlitz guide to cruise ships and cruise lines, which is widely regarded as the "bible" of the cruise industry for travellers seeking a true classification of not just the cruise line but also each and every cruise ship, you will see that both Disney Wonder and Disney Magic are classed as 4* ships - exactly the same category as the Norwegian ships apart from the Nowegian Sky (which is 3.5* and is leaving the fleet this year). We have been on all the main cruise lines over the years and our favourites are Princess and Holland America. Going on the new Oasis of the Seas for 7 days out of Ft Lauderdale in March following our stay in the villa.

We have a villa in Orlando and go on cruises from Florida on a regular basis. The prices of cruises in the US are much lower than we pay here in the UK. There are lots of bargains to be had that are much better than this. The pricing structure of cruise lines is such that the brochure price allows for a huge discount to make it look even better value. We have been on week long cruises with as much as 82% off the brochure price e.g. a suite on Princess last year for only $625 + $150 on board credit. You just have to search around for the best price on the USA websites. You can regularly pick up 4 night Bahamas cruises for $180 on NCL out of Miami. We recommend cruises to our guests who rent our villa.

I also have a villa in Florida and recommend cruises to our guests and family who stay there.

There are a lot of bargains but remembering Disney is a 5* Cruise compared to NCL which is a 3*, I guarantee you wont be disappointed with a Disney Cruise line, we have been on Royal Carribean and its excellent but doesnt compare so I felt at this price it is excellent, have you been on a Disney Cruise?

But having to travel all that way for a 3 day cruise is too much, great for people already travelling that way on those dates but there are few and far between. So an ok ish deal with limited appeal, but still worth posting.

Like you say its more for people heading that way or who will be there, obviously some people do travel to cruise also.

Some people may want to tie it in with a Florida trip to Disney World and the parks etc also.
