The boiler is cold, Doesn't work very well does it

For that money you can get a good WORCESTER GREENSTAR

Worcester over Vaillant any day

looks good price how easy are these to fit

Only 19 kW. Not very much if you are in a 3 bed or bigger house.

19 kW will handle the central heating of nearly all homes easily, what you need to look for on a combi is flow rate - how much water your going to get out of your hot taps. 9.4l/min is pretty much standard for 24kW but pretty poor in reality.

As for the make, Vaillant are definitely at the top end, but whether your installer will agree to you buying parts is another matter.

EXCELLENT BOILERS ........VAILLANT OVER WORCESTER IN MY OPINION. BUT AS WITH ANY BOILER, ITS MAINLY TO DO WITH THE INSTALLATION. I PURCHASED THE 831 VERSION FROM BHL FOR 1066 NOTES INC STD FLUE & VRT360F WIRELESS PROGRAMMABLE THERMOSTAT IN APRIL. BE AWARE, CUS U NEED TO ADD ON THE STD FLUE FOR 57 NOTES ASWELL & ABOUT 23 NOTES FOR A CLOCK. THE FLOW RATE IS A LITTLE LOW ON THE 824, I WOULD SPEND THE LITTLE EXTRA & GO FOR THE 831 WITH THE 12.7 FLOW RATE. I ALSO RUN A COMBI SHOWER FROM IT WHICH IS NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE :-D

WORCESTER GREENSTAR everyday

I used VHS Direct a couple of years ago. Their price beat my CORGI's trade price, and he was happy for me to buy the boiler and have him fit it (but do ask your intended CORGI first, it's only polite!). Buying through VHS Direct also gave me an extra year's warranty, taking it to 3 years (assuming I have it serviced each year, which is fair enough). It was delivered as arranged, and from the local PlumbCenter. Like FluffeeMuffee, I went for the Ecotec 831 to make sure there was enough spare capacity (my previous Vokera boiler was 24kW and seemed quite marginal at times). My installer recommended a Drayton DigiStat+3RF room thermostat/programmer rather than the Vaillant model - partly for flexibility of programming and partly so that it won't need to be replaced when the boiler is replaced, unlike the Vaillant.

I was recommended to go with a Vaillant boiler over Worcester Bosch by a couple of CORGIs on account of the heat exchanger being corrosion-resistant stainless steel and the layout being quick and easy to work on. To those recommending WB, what are the advantages of WB?

If you are replacing an existing boiler you can easily fit this yourself.

super buy we have 1 in a large 3 bed house and it does everything we need. Heat added

Great humour on this board ... :whistling:

Was considering this manufacturer for my replacement boiler until I found out that they operate a premium rate customer service number.

Not voted on the deal BTW as I haven't a clue if this is a good price.

Was told by numerous gas installers who came to give me a quote they don't do this, that said they all said their boilers are good quality.

Had a vaillant for years, never lets me down!! I am a spark and i spoke to several experienced plumbers and all recommended the Valliant.
