You must have a huge attic to fit a 30 year old and a tank up there.
I wouldn't bother with vaillant anymore. Last boiler I had was a vaillant and it lasted 19 years. I thought I'll go and replace with vaillant. It was bad decision. New vaillant boilers are extremely unreliable. I've had 3 repairs already done by vaillant in the space of 4 years or so. It's not worth it. Get a baxi which will cost you half as much and their warranty ranges from 3 to 10 years. Not surprised vaillant reduced the warranty from 10 to 5 because even they themselves don't have faith in their product.

Boxt, probably the best company I've ever dealt with.

Have you managed to confirm the warranty on your installation was indeed 10 years?

Fitted last December with a 10 year warranty.
They changed it to 5 now?

Might depend on boiler chosen.

Best boiler ever. Had mine 12 yrs. Make sure wattage covers size of house/ radiators.
Enjoy your dribble of hot water with a 25kw boiler
Ignoring that actual boiler size, has anyone had any good / bad experience with these guys?

Can’t praise the service enough, fitters were excellent and the price we paid a thousand cheaper than two local fitters and 600 less than another with a lesser boiler.
39515363-VFghd.jpgNot looking good for Boxt. 2.2 million pound loss last year Can't wait to see this years figures.
There's a whole range of boilers, good makes at reasonable prices. Heat.]

It’s a Uber equivalent loss Leader kill the competition
Boxt are part owned by Worcester, so they give a 10 year warranty on Worcester installs. Not sure about other makes.

You can get a 10 yr warranty through Vaillant at additional cost if fitted by an approved heating engineer.

Have been recommended Baxi with 10 yr warranty by a number of plumbers.

Vaillant sub-46kW heat exchangers changed from stainless steel to aluminium in last yr or so. Think it's only Viessman now who provide stainless steel heat exchangers on standard size boilers in UK market.

Get a heating engineer in to test water pressure, flow rates and heat loss. The only way to do it.
Does this boiler include the radiator package

You can do it as you go though the selection part. The bit we had to check was water pressure. just fill a milk container and that will tell you the flow rate.
We had one put in a by boxt couple weeks ago changing from old system to combi. Really happy with service. Engineer came at 9am and left at 9pm and compleated it in one day. havent heard anything negative about boxt anywhere which is why we went with them. Night be worth considering going to combi. really handy for hot water without having to wait for a cylinder to heat up and should save us a small fortune hopefully. Also more room now in the bathroom (minus cylinder) to redesign it.
we got the worcester bosch 30i and combi conversion for £2600 with all discount

BOXT has a offer of £75 on topcashback

Avoid boxt. They messed up my recent installation so badly.

This is just a boiler upgrade and conversion to combi if required.

I had s horrible experience with boxt . First the engineer did not clear one of the pipes so the boiler chocked and stopped working. When I called them they told me to call Worcester directly. Worcester engineer confirmed nothing is wrong with the boiler. So boxt sent one of their engineers. He messed with a radiator joint which caused a massive leak that damaged the ceiling of my living room. Still chasing them to pay for the damages!!

Every company has problems but trustpilot shows it at 5 stars out of 5 and is haighly rated by most people.

before going for a combi do some research on a pressurized water tank. ultimately it is a better solution than a combi but lots to consider including water pressure etc. Either way with a modern boiler you are going to quickly start saving money.
Only paid £1300 for this fitted a year ago. That’s some inflation!

Cheers.

Boiler is great, for a large 3 bed house. Not through boxt, they look too overpriced.
Boxt are taking a lot of business away from other firms. Looks like there's a couple of affected people on here.

Best ratings on TP I've ever seen so can't be that bad...
