It's rare to see a book by top author V.G. Lee free. This is one of my favourites by her, a kind of Bridget Jones set in a fictional seaside town based on Hastings. If you haven't read anything by her this is a good chance to try one. Although the main character is lesbian it can be enjoyed by anyone - the title is a spoof of the classic novel Diary of a Provincial Lady. It's very funny so be careful reading it in public because you'll laugh out loud, and maybe cry too. V.G. Lee is a stand up comedian and it shows in her writing.
