Good choice of programmes and having it all on a CD could have some advantages. I would however recommend ninite.com/ over this, it has a better choice of programmes and you can be sure they are the latest versions.

+1 - The Valo-CD is handy to have if your working in a location with low internet access speeds or working offline.

forget about everything just keep a copy of HBCD
if you can make a usb of it, it will save many lives , my boyfriend gave me once and it's the second best thing he gave me in life.

I think you're missing the point, this is a CD full of applications (office suite, illustrations, internet browsing, downloading, media player etc), HBCD is a bootable CD for recovery and maintenance. The two things are not comprable in any way.

Why would Windows users have their minds blown? You think because people don't use a mac or run Linux they've never seen a list of popular portable programs all bundled together? I'd of thought it more like, Linux/UNIX/BSD/Mac OS X mind blown at getting this to work on your computer without a Windows emulator, in the form of WINE.

Just an FYI, WINE is not an emulator.
