I didn't read the bottom part, but if they are separate keys you can most likely trade them or sell them, but if anything you can donate them to BandWidthBob --- He does weekly giveaways and any donations will be great to him!

£20 for all these crappy old games from the 90s? no thanks

Ahahaha. We have some jokers in here these last few days.

At least you said i think. I love that you actually state your opinion so thank you :)! To me i need counter strike source anyway for Garrys mod, and i wanted left for dead and portal so it just came down to getting those three together. If anyone wants to trade CS GO for anything!

Probably not the right place to ask but does anyone know where you find the maps folder for HL2 Deathmatch on the Mac? Booted this up at the weekend and couldn't find the darn folder anywhere! Had some great maps lined up too! Very frustrating.

On the deal...£20 for all that?! Great! I paid £2.99 just for the HL2 DM. I mean, if you haven't got em... and you like FPS....as Mr Bacon says...it's a no brainer!

Your logic seems to imply that new = good and somehow games get worse with age.

Going by that logic the new Thief game should be the best game ever. But it isn't - it's getting terrible reviews.
I'm pretty sure you'd be better off playing Half-Life and Portal again.

Valve games are over rated. They are the most generic games ever. Portal was just a puzzle game filled with quirky lines to make up for the lack of everything else. Half life is just walking forward with your crowbar.

How many people quit half life because of the boat part?

Googled for about two hours on Saturday...nada! Might try to find a appropriate mac HL forum.

The boat part? That's in Half-Life 2. Which, I'll agree, wasn't as good as the first Half-Life. So a game from 1998 is better than a game from 2004 so, again, old does not equal bad. Yes, they're fairly standard FPS games but they do a good job of adding atmosphere and plot by showing rather than telling.

And Portal may be 'just' a puzzle game but a) it was a completely original puzzle game, offering a type of puzzle never before seen in a video game and something that would be pretty difficult to do outside of a video game and b) what would you prefer? Just puzzles, or puzzles with a witty script to tie them together? And Portal 2 gives you more bang for your buck than most other games because there are tens of thousands of custom made maps to keep you going after you've finished the game.

If you don't like FPS and you don't like puzzles then, fine, Valve games may not be for you. But if you think they're generic then you've clearly never heard of this other series called Call of Duty.

can anyone confirm if this is one code or individual codes per game?

cheers

Just brought it it's one code so unfortunately yeah :/. I was hoping to trade a couple of the game but at the end of the day it's only £20 for all of it

thats ok, they should go into your gifts section, and you can then sell them again :-)

There is 24 games , 24 divides by 7 giving you 3 , Half-Life 3 confirmed

I think that you misunderstand the meaning of the term 'generic', since the root of it is 'genre' meaning 'type'. Half-life 1 pretty much defined our understanding of the FPS genre with immersive story-driven FPS with alternate endings (Doom etc didn't really have any story). HL2 introduced gaming to the idea of an intelligent AI companion with an actual personality who helped to drive the narrative forward.

You remind me of the two American tourists visiting the Globe theatre, who complained that Shakespeare's Hamlet was 'just lots of famous phrases all joined together'.

What exactly ARE Valves devs doing these days?! 10 years since HL2 and CS:S?!

It's still a lot of games for the money, but like the op says, the same pack was on offer recently for £10, and I paid £12.50 around 2 years ago. Not sure what else has been added as it looks like the exact same list to me.

I guess it's a deal If you must have the games displayed in your steam library right now, otherwise it's bound to be back down to around £10 soon enough.

Waiting for the usual idiots moaning the expansions are not games blah blah blah zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Half-Life 2? Is that not the same HL2 that is the most awarded, praised game in history? The biggest problem is that most people will have most if not all of these titles. But at £20, half the cost of a PS4 title HL2 is still better than just about anything they have produces, ever. Serious heat.

Fun fact: the idea for Portal was taken from a presentation given by Peter Molyneux!

Bargains there for some of the best games of all time

Just to point out I don't see any additional games added from the £10 deal, looks to be same packet for double the price.

Yeah, it's not like it includes the most influencial fps of all time and 4 of the best tactical fps games of all time. Or 2 fantastic puzzle games. But yeah, they are all from the 90s and they suck. Btw HL2 has a metacritic score of 96 and portal 2 has a score of 95...

The 2 Left4dead games and portal are about all thats worth buying in this waste of a bundle IMHO ( before anyone gets their knickers in a bunch about opinions ) most will already have some of these games and some just don't cut it anymore , they're old and dated and they look it.
As for it containing the most influential fps of all time , well , whatever, pong was an amazing game back in the day as was donkey kong , i guess your still playing those too.

And Portal 2 got a score of 95 ? seriously its not a bad game but its nowhere near a 95 neither is HL2

Every year my optimism that they're working on something big that's just around the corner dies a little more. I think they've said that they only want to do Half-life 3 when they can put something new and groundbreaking in it.

I guess they've been working on DotA2 and SteamOS lately. I'd love for a glimmer of hope that they're working on something Valve-ish though.

HL2 was at the time, I remember the wow factor with the gravity gun, then the super gravity gun where you could fling bodies around, the physics in HL2 were truly groundbreaking.
