Since the release of Van Morrison's debut solo album, Blowin' Your Mind!, on Bang Records in 1967, his Bang recordings have been repackaged on multiple occasions as, apparently, the catalog has passed through different hands and been made available for licensing to anyone who wanted to pay the fee and put out yet another album. The German label Pazzazz here issues yet another such collection. It begins with seven of the original eight tracks that made up Blowin' Your Mind!, excepting only "Who Drove the Red Sports Car?" and featuring an extended edit of "He Ain't Give You None" that begins with studio chatter, and follows with some tracks that first saw the light of day in 1974 on Bang's T.B. Sheets compilation, including early versions of "Beside You" and "Madame George," both later heard on Morrison's second solo LP, Astral Weeks. Then, there are a few more tracks that were released as B-side singles or leaked out on subsequent compilations. Most Morrison fans will have these tracks on one album or another already, but for anyone who doesn't, this collection is a reasonable selection of the Bang material
