Apologies for my ignorance, but what exactly determines mid-spec on a tent? What exactly are you looking for in a general tent for camping at camp sites in the UK? High water resistance? Weight?

Would this be good enough for back garden camping?

would this be good enough for everest base camp?

Just what I've been looking for - thanks for posting

Would this be good enough for nocturnal camping?

is it good enough For camping? lol

Is this good enough for everything ever?

Good price, bought one. It does actually have a fly so unlike most cheap tents it should cope with UK conditions acceptably.

I'd probably get a better tent for base camp for a start 4kg is gonna have to be carried by your Sherpa. Should be able to get a stronger tent ( conditions snow, water, wind) and far lighter

Yes build quality, weight, material 3000 hydrostatic head is pretty average, cheap tents are usually 1500-2000, better quality are far higher 5000+ amd stronger material, better stitching

If a 3 man tent doesn't have a fly, does that mean they have to wee inside it?

Might have been a nice cycle touring option. Sub 5kg, probably strap on top of my panniers nicely.

That is an excellent deal..... if i didn't have 3 tents already, would have bought it...... in fact i may buy it anyway.
Heat.

Is this a one piece or does it have an outer shell to keep rain away properly?

Yes.... Its outer erect first, then you clip the inside skin inside it. Or you can leave the inner attached and erect as one.
Outer erect first are the best system because you can erect it in the rain without getting the inside wet.

Possibly too good for just that (i.e you can get cheaper), plus it's low, which may or may not be ok for what you want.

Who knows..... who cares.
They're wrong anyway.... outer pitch first is always best for erecting when its raining.

I prefer outties to innies.

Excellent price for a branded tent - bought one. Thanks!

Bought one before weekend, went to NoZstock held off the rain all of Thursday and all of Sunday, stayed completely dry inside and stayed sturdy even with all the drunks tripping over the guide ropes! will be reused again and again!
Heat!!

Just ordered one, thank you ! was very close to buying a lesser brand one from elsewhere at £50 so to get a great brand tent like this for just over £40 I'm very happy. heat!

Bought one last week, and used it at the weekend. Excellent price, easy to put up and even easier to pack away - it actually fits in the bag.

Thanks, ordered for camping trip this weekend, looks a steal.

Got the tent up today for the first time and I'm very impressed. Handy enough put up and away again, super value at the lower price.
