Great deal. They are currently offering free delivery too.

wife got one off ebay for £5 - it was fine but what a pice of junk - impossible to put up unless you have 10 hands - even for experienced campers

Really? I have one and can put it up myself in about 10 minutes. A friend has the open canopy and he can do the same. Are you sure it's legit?

Re this deal - wasn't it posted last week too? Good deal regardless.

These are really good tents, and great price.

This deal is just for the extension canopy, not the tent.

Very misleading pic.

Great price, however we had last years tent but took it back when both tent and the open canopy had multiple quality issues after 2 uses. Most reviews of this tent and canopy are good but there are quite a few bad quality reviews.
It is a budget tent and if you get a good one it would be great for family. Personally I would not buy one again.

Thanks

We had this tent for just 2 of us. The wife likes to be able to standup in a tent and we tend to take a lot of stuff with us.
so as far as one for 5 I really would not like to say. It also depends on budget. Our current tent is an outwell which is much better quality but is also more expensive.

Don't get me wrong this tent was great for the price, if only one part of the tent or canopy had an issue I would probably have just exchanged that part and kept it but we had a number of holes appear and straps fall off in two uses and we are very careful campers so it was not due to misuse.

If you have a young family (5 adults would struggle I think) then I would still recommend this tent definately get this closed in canpopy (the one we had was an open front) as it will make a massive difference to living space!! I would also recommend the carpet for the tent, may sound a bit over the top but it makes sitting on the floor far more warm and comfy and think it cost about £35

From the reviews this tent gets most people love it so it does something right, maybe I just got a wrongun

ooh one last thing, if you have a go outdoors nearby remember they pricematch, I saved a far few quid finding the different parts cheaper online!

I would not call it a budget tent for a second.

Vango is a good brand, with a 3000 HH rating.

An excellent mid range tent. Not up there with Outwell, but not in the same price band either. The Argos and Tesco tents don't even get near this in quality. We have used our numerous times including high wind and heavy rain and not had one issue.

Agree however with seashaker that 5 adults would be a push but with the canopy it would be much easier. 2 adults and 3 kids would be okay though.

We've got a Gelert Lokon Vario 6 and it's now 6 years old and still as new (apart from the colours obviously) really want the Outwell Hartford though it's a LUSH tent

We're a family of 5 and bought a Vango Maritsa 700 this year and love it! Massive 'lounge' area (we got the carpet too), large porch and good sleeping space. Loads of head room and we had 9 of us + chairs + table in the living area and there was still space for more people.

ah mines the porch - it needs min 2 people to put up - id say 4 actually - worst designed product ever with instructions written by a moron

thios is NOT for the tent people, just the canopy which is junk

7.5kg? Bit heavy for a tent.

What he says.........it's not a tent, £45 for the canopy which fits a Vango Icarus.

We have a Orchy 600 and thats 26.5kg

Buy a pop up then.

It's a lot lighter than the one I've got - and it isn't a tent it's a canopy.

We bought 5 of the tent this is for and all have been returned after 2 camps.
Broken poles, stitching that leaks, we were very disappointed.

When talking with the supplier they said they’d had a high number returned.

Its a real shame as they look so good on paper.

We have the Icarus 600 & sun (rain?!) canopy, & it's great, doubles the living space in good weather & means you can cook under shelter in bad weather. We have the 'kitchen' with hobs & bbq under it about a foot away form the perspex window & its had no ill effects even with a full seasons use.

Highly recommend the tent & canopy. We have also the carpet, makes a world of difference, pretentious as it may seem!

Must admit, we have the carpet in the tent itself too. It does make a worthwhile difference.

Sweet my get me one of these

Cannot beat the Outwells

A great price indeed. The 500 is a great tent and a canopy just makes it even better. You can have quality issues at this price level but it will still be leagues ahead of anything from Halfords.

We've had various tents in various sizes but by far the best is the Cabanon frame tent we use now (it's massive inside). It's a bit of a big sod to fit in the car but the two of us can easily put it up in about 10-15 mins.

How do you know it's junk? You posted earlier that you don't actually own one.

Anyway, I've used mine 9 times this year and it is excellent. It's really easy to put up (literally just thread 2 poles through a sleeve and stick some pegs in) and it withstood wind and rain on several occasions.

However, as a cautionary note, the first one I had came with a few missing peg loops and holes in the fabric. The replacement was perfect but the seller did comment that Vango's recent 'build quality' was a bit hit and miss
