Unfortunate brand name
For a second I thought it's reduced from £1499.99 then realised there's a typo there
THANKYO for posting
Awesome. Thanks!!! Couldn't bring myself round to getting £1k on the projector I have been eyeing for over a year, especially for occasional use. £50 is just great.

I guess the cold votes are for the type on the title.

Otherwise, please do comment of this product is truly poor. Thank you
From what I've seen online it seems well reviewed...... I'm taking a punt on it to replace my benq tw523p which I've had for 5 years.... If it turns out to be pap then I'll just return it..... Shame there's no 3d though
5500 lumens for £150...you really deserve it if you believe such thing.
I have one and it performs well beyond the price tag

Me too and I think its great. I use it to watch movies and big sports events. You've just got to remember how much you are paying for it and at this price its heat from me.

Sounds like "thank you" with an French/German/Italian accent. Not entirely unfortunate.
Worth being dubious about some of the reviews on Amazon now, but there are some good Chinese projectors out there now that are excellent for the money (I have one and its ideal for the family film night twice a week in a dimly lit room (doesent have to be pitch black) projecting a 100 inch image).

If I was using one everyday I would spend some more money but it more than suits our needs and am well impressed.

My view is if you don't like it you can always send it back for free.

Seriously anyone had one of these for a while willing to elaborate why the freeze on this one? Looks good on paper (apart from the brand name), but experience & reliability is critical in a business hosting expensive meetings...

Probably because it is too good to be true. You can't get ever a 5000 lumens projector at this price, you will probably pay £500+ if you're lucky. My Crenova was advertised as 3000 lumens. I never had a projector and got it. I was pleased with it, using it only in a dark room. Got an LG 1000 lumens. What a difference, probably 10 times brighter, so realised the Crenova was probably 100-200 lumens. Most of the Chinese brands are claiming higher specs, people never had a projector, so they believe this. Crenova had on Amazon 4.5 stars on 300 reviews.
I am not saying this is a bad projector, I am saying if people did not have a proper projector before to compare it, they may think this is great.

Mind sharing the make and model you have?
I got one of these a couple of weeks ago , very impressed for the price. It’s not perfect it’s a bit noisy and the focus around the edges could be better and I will probably upgrade next year but for £150 it’s a bargain. Just need them to make a 4K version.

No worries.

I went for this one which I posted, but not sure about the price now?

Why I say about some Amazon reviews being suspect is that when I received it they offered a free gift or money into your account for a 5 star review although hand an heart I am really impressed with this projector for the money and it more than suits my needs (film night a couple of times a week in a dimly lit room) so I gave them an honest 5 start review after a month of using it with no issues and instantly got £30 cash paid into my PayPal account (I am a honest guy and if it wasn't very good I would have sent it back for refund and review it accordingly).
I've just checked the price and it looks like it's gone up £20 even after the discount do might be worth waiting to see if it goes down again as they seem to fluctuate.

When I had mine they just asked for a honest review no mention of 5 stars.
I had this exact one last year but sent back! Too noisy, focus on edges/corners was very bad, room needed to be dark.
Most importantly I found a site given below that talked about how the specs of some of these brands are bloated (i knew it already before purchase) and that they might have a risk of catching fire (not like on the deals but for real!) - instructions do state that you need to power off after few hours of use. I simply didnt want to risk that.

I have bought one of these for my lad at Christmas. I have a much more expensive optima and for anyone wanting a good but cheap projector this Vankyo is for you, I have watched live boxing, football, and films on this to check it out and it is an ideal starter projector, also has lots of features, some witch are not even on my more expensive projector, and when I need a new one this is the one I will be getting, I also tried the less expensive Vankyo projector witch is ok, but not as clear a picture as this, but would be great for a small childs playroom or bedroom. I also got this for less than £150 on amazon so watch for price going down too. you will not regret buying this i am sure, its great and cheap.
This does get generally good reviews and for the money seems pretty decent. Vankyo have just released a V620 so this on will hopefully reduce further. Heat

Do you not think it's very noisy for gaming or movies compared to other projectors?

I thought the same when I turned it on for the first time, but have not noticed it whilst watching stuff though.
