Originally called the #44, the Authentic was the first shoe made and sold by Vans in 1966. Re-released in 1974, it quickly became the premium shoe of choice for skaters and BMXers, loved for its effortless simplicity and low-profile style, the Authentic changed the game by staying the same. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. That's why it's remained just as popular now as it did when it first hit the streets. This men's model features a lightweight canvas upper for soft comfort, classic contrast stitching and the iconic Waffle outsole to keep you gripped wherever you go.

Nice, I've only just bought some Vans but now I'm tempted to get another pair.
What're vans like for sizing? I take a 9 normally, but they've only got 8.5 and 9.5.

In the past I've found them a bit on the small size. I'd go 0.5 up from what you usually wear
Thanks OP. Also tried TCB, fingers crossed it tracks.

Remove the laces and fit elastic ones and they become slip on ones. they are 99p usually as long as you can wait on the slow boat from China.

Nor me. Parking is all free where I live, inc a 5 level multi-storey car park. I must save at least a grand a year.
It's like that Sixt car advert on the tv. Makes you feel soooo smug, all the poor sods having to pay daily to park their cars.
HA HA HA HA HA!

As for these trainers (usually 47 quid, what a joke!). My mate gets sucked in for stuff like this, he paid 55 quid for some grey Vans. FIFTY FIVE QUID!! You couldn't make it up.

I pointed out I could get some similar in a supermarket for peanuts, and he said 'yeah, but they'd be absolute rubbish.'
I bought some, just for a laugh as he's a size 10 like me, and initially he thought I had Vans on or similar and was about to say something smug, then he realised there was no tag and the ankle part was padded, unlike his vans.

I said go on, try them on. He did and actually said the ankle bit did feel better, his Vans rubbed without socks on.
When I told him they were 7 quid, his face was a joy to behold!
'Blimey, he said, that's a fantastic reduction!'
I tried not to laugh. Then said they were just half price, normally 14 quid.
'Where did you get them?' he asked. I was laughing too much to tell him.

I bought Converse (heavily reduced via HUKD). Took them to a festival. Ended up walking barefeet for the best part of a day until I could put on my spare trainers. Those suckers were SO uncomfortable. Vans look just as bad
