Various Apple, Pear, Cherry and Plum Fruit Trees £5 each Asda in store

Just been in Asda, and saw they have various fruit trees for just £5 each. They are bare root, about 1.5m tall.

Loads of different apples, 2 or 3 or each various plum, cherry and pear, including conference, stella and victoria.

I am looking for a few trees at the moment, so know most of these are self-pollinating. They had them in a tall pallet size plastic bin thing at the front of the store.

mmmmmmm much healthier than doughnuts homer

I love my home grown plums, much better than the store ones

These are a right con. Most of these trees ain't got no fruit on them and them wot have got fruit it's tiny. Cheaper to get the packet ones. ASDA have deal on them donut peaches a fair bit.

presumably, as they don't have fruit yet, they can become organic in your garden???

Lol

Just don't expect to get a meaningful amount of fruit from this size of tree for 5 years at least... And none at all next year.

Apple have money trees, fertilised by mugs called iPhone purchasers.

Think of these trees are an investment, they won't produce immediately but in 5-10 yrs you will get way more than £5 worth of fruit from them! Mind you enough wild fruit trees to just go harvesting them instead to be honest.

my mum is always growing things and after fruit trees. THese will be perfect for her birthday. Thanks!

How is the fruit quality when they start popping? I am after some but want to invest my land resources in something tasty and sweet!!
