Heat and rep for the voucher should certainly go to muffinhead (as it has been from me and others, if you take a look).

Any heat or rep given to me for this deal is presumably for the value added by pointing out, for instance, that the Peter Kay book, list price £20, is currently available at half-marked price (£10), which in combination with muffinhead's voucher then comes down to a mere £5 - the cheapest it can be had anywhere currently. Likewise for the Guiness Book of Records and the other discounted books that are discounted even further with muffinhead's voucher.

Anyway, what does it matter to you? With such generosity of spirit you should be Scrooge McToonarami! Like heat and rep matters so much! HUKD is all about everyone helping each other is it not, and heat and rep are just ways of expressing thanks to one another.

The post is pointing to the deal that Ajibee has devised so of course it should get heat. I think it should be re-worded though by replacing the '£5 Off books over £10' to '£5 off books £10 and over' Hope this helps.

On checking the voucher it it easy to see where the confusion lies. The Voucher states "£5 off any book OVER £10" however in the small print it states "£5 saving when you spend £10 or more on any book" Anyone using this voucher needs to be aware of this, just in case....

Hiya, been looking at getting this for my dad.. what is it? Is it just repetitive of everything he has done or is it a good read?

It says on the voucher that it is not to be used in conjunction with any other offer. Has anyone actually tried to buy the Peter Kay book with the voucher and can vouch that it works?

Yes, it works fine - what they mean is that you can only use one voucher per transaction, i.e. not multiple voucher discounts, but the half-price isn't a voucher offer. If there's any question (which there shouldn't be), just ask them to check with a manager. All of my purchases have gone through without anyone batting an eyelid. Hope this helps.

Do these vouchers definitely work? My daughter has just started reading … Do these vouchers definitely work? My daughter has just started reading the Darren Shan books and if these work I wouldn't mind getting her the full collection for Xmas.I wonder if I could get away with taking 4 vouchers into my local store, and then splitting the books into 4 separate transactions:thinking:Guess I could hang around and wait until the part-time student staff are on duty, lol

If you're using different vouchers just do them as separate transactions - they won't mind.

If using more than one of the £5 off a book £10+ my strategy is to buy the first one, then browse around a bit more, then buy the second one, though I suppose you could use different paypoints if you felt more comfortable that way.

I really don't think the staff mind - it's all money in the till, and buying books in the volume that WHSmith does they're going to be quite cheap at cost price, so I doubt they're selling at a loss. If they were they could simply price books at £9.99, just below the crucial £10 price.

Just used mine today got Peter Kay for £5 - Very impressed - THanks
