Have no idea if GiffGaff is anygood or what the signal is like.

But i have just seen these Pay as you go sims and was shocked at how cheap they are to get inclusive minutes and texts etc (goodybags - they call them)

£5 gets you unlimited texts
£10 gets you 250 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited web
£15 gets you 400 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited web
£20 gets you 800 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited web
£25 gets you 1,500 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited web

interesteing point, you also get free calls and texts to any other GiffGaff sim.

so could work out cheap for someone?

Given the amount of GiffGaff deals posted on HUKD I don't think we need to see this, do we?

apologies if there are lots of posts. i did a search but only found a couple of individual offers none of which are on this post.

my bad for not looking properly. apologies

Giffgaff is a branding exercise by O2 - it is effectively O2 under a different name - and your coverage will be exactly what you would get with O2. I use them for my kids, and use up "spare" minutes to save on land-line costs. Very good value, particularly for smartphones.

Been using the £5 lab goodybag (not mentioned above) for the last few months.

You only get 60 minutes but you get a bonus minute added for every full minute of incoming calls (excluding calls from other giffgaff phones).

Annoying people ring me all the time but at least now I get the satisfaction of gaining something from it.

I usually end the month with around 300 minutes still to use.

You get 300 texts too BTW.

Oh...and some free internet but I can't be bothered with all that nonsense.

This £5 'lab' goodybag is due to end soon but it might well get extended (again) as it's very popular.

I got 80p

.......come to think of it, I don't think I even got that as I forgot to ask to have it added to my allowance

I stopped giving out sims as i became tech support when anything went wrong instead of them using the giffgaff forums

knowledge is power!

giffgaff is brilliant, been on it almost two years, free calls to other users has reduced my bill to around £5 per month.

35p cashback for me - and I'm not even sure what I did to deserve that, but I'm not complaining! As a light-ish user with no real mobile phone network bias, I am no more or less satisfied with giffgaff than anyone else (and I think I have used them all over the years.....). I could comfortably recommend them to a similar user and think they have been good value over the 9 months I've used them.

Is it possible to text from the GiffGaff website using your GiffGaff account.

£5.45 reward here. Haven't the slightest clue how they worked it out.

It's a shame we can't refer users on this site as both referrer and referree benefit from a £5 bonus.

One good thing about GiffGaff is if you hate the O2 "your balance is..." messages after texts and calls, you can disable them on the website.

I have a GiffGaff sim installed on a car alarm text alert system on my car. It texts me when I arm or disarm the alarm, if the alarm goes off, and also if the battery goes flat. Being GiffGaff to GiffGaff these texts are free (well for up to 3 months and however long the £10 top up lasts at 4p per text), and I've got the GF GiffGaffed too.

GIFFGAFF IS **** FOR THE INTERNET

Come over here, love, and the nice lady will bring you a chair so you can have a sit down.

i have a giffgaff sim and a tesco sim. Both use o2. My tesco sim has full bars all the time at my house , where as giffgaff is generally 1,2 bars. Went into o2 shop last week and enquired. Blokey said signal never is as strong with secondary companies. Think ill try someone else next month as i cant get htc sense to function as the signals so week.
