Various Google Play Sale Items *UPDATED 23/6*

37
Found 22nd Jun 2012
Ok, I was bored so I searched through Google Play to dig out as many sale items as I could (be bothered to..) find. I make no promises about quality, just the fact that they're all on sale.

And yes, I'm fully aware there are most probably free versions out there that do just as good a job. For free. But that's not the point :-)

ohhh didn't see that one .. will add it to the list .. cheers

unless I'm mistaken guns & glory was part of the 69p longest day sale, there was a thread that listed the apps in that sale but it seems to have gone.

pvz worth getting? I've got it on steam, ipod touch and on psn(free through ps+).

Grand Theft Auto 3 is 69p at the moment. Bargain.

Thanks for taking time to post these. We also expect daily updates from now on, obviously

Original Poster

well obviously .. i will devote at least 3 hours a day to scouring the market for anything even *thinking* about being a bargain !

MonkeyVilla

Same thing for Armored Defense II

Same thing for Armored Defense II

To be fair the OP has put in his original post that Armored Defence is USA only

It's tempting to vote cold for starting a sentence with 'OK' but I won't

OK (:-P @FatherTed!) I've given it heat, simply for the amount of time you've taken to do this! I'm really tempted by a couple of these, but I don't think that Juice Defender is actually reduced... It says "50% off until the new year! Happy holidays!" in the description, but if that is still correct, that would make it normally the same price as the Ultimate version, and a few of the comments on that say that it's not always worth the extra money over the Plus version. I think they just haven't updated the description... ;-)

This is/was a promotion on the longest day.

Another one I found the other day Draw something game is now half price @ 69p, I've found it to be well worth it. The adverts in the free version were making actually playing the app impossible, actually starting to enjoy it again!

hot just cause of the effort you put in

All ea games are on sale at the mo I think

I bought UK Driving Theory Test and HDR Camera+

Anyone know wanna tell me why Plants vs Zombies is incompatible with my phone?

why buy when u can get them for free..... not saying much more than that

Swiftkey 3 keyboard is also currently half price at £1.49 play.google.com/sto…key

IMO this is the best soft keyboard on android (unless you're a lover of swype) it's only keyboard I've used that correctly predicts "I'm, we've, we're, I'll" etc. It learns your writing habits right from the start by scanning your email, facebook, sms etc. to look for commonly used word groupings.

@Neostar some games require a resolution of at least so much, some require a dedicated GPU of at least a certain class.

wth! i get the sale price but from the .nl store it tells me it works on my phone and tablet and from the uk store it doesnt???

FIFA 12 is £2.37?

Because we aren't stingy like you. Support the developer don't just steal!

Apparently there is 2 versions on the store, one that works but not on sale and one that doesn't but is on sale

Do you remember when buying mobile apps was cool?

Juice Defender is the regular price of £1.99
They have not bothered updating the description since the discount ended when it was priced at £0.99
A nice way to con customers.

I've found that Appsale is useful for spotting other apps on sale. It will certainly save you some time, and can notify you at set intervals if anything new comes up.

Most Android users know how to get it free, but most will also support devs

I always use MX Player never used Vplayer can anyone comment on how good it is, worth me changing the free MX player?

Well exactly. I know times are tight financially but with some apps and games only 60 odd pence, is it really worth taking the time to google for the APK, copy it across to your phone and install it when you can just spend 60 frikkin' pence to buy it and support the devs ?

I'm no saint by any means with regards to software and games over the years, but i'll always buy as much as i can afford for the phone because I know full well i'd only spend the money on useless crap .. or diet coke

and it encourages the devs to improve, update and release more stuff ..

anyway, thanks to everyone for giving me this much heat. i almost feel obliged to keep looking for bargains now .. heh

Great effort by the OP but frankly after 8 months of smart phone ownership I can count on one hand how many apps I'd have happily paid more than a quid for. This stuff is sold off dirt cheap as generally its not all that great and they rely on our urge to impulse buy, I realised within a few months I didn't need or want to fill up my 32gb storage with hundred s of apps that I'll use maybe a dozen times.

Anyone had any experience with Signal Booster Pro? The idea of an pp boosting connection signal seems insane to me. Hoax app?

Also I must warn about JuiceDefender, I bought the Plus version a while back, it totally wrecked my battery usage, I immediately went from about 1.5 days life to half a day. and I am talking overnight. Even after uninstalling it's the same, and there's many comments/reviews with the same outcome. So something to think about before buying. I guess I was greedy hoping for more battery when I was getting so much. Taught me a lesson alright.

Signal Booster did nothing fo rme - Also JuiceDefender is pointless - Just turn off your data with a homescreen button and turn it back on when u want to check stuff!
