Very good mate, I was thinking the exact same thing. Some people just want 20 separate threads on their name, while one would have been sufficient.

Can't blame you - heat added.

I don't even know where to start with that comment.. Show me a Blu-Ray player for £4.99 and discs for £0.99 and then maybe you'll have a point.. I bought one of these 18 months back when I had a HD TV but wasn't willing to shell out the £200 (at the time) for a Blu-Ray player and the £10 per disc even budget films were going for.. Sure, I duly upgraded to a Sony Blu-Ray player when they were £99, and started building up my collection of discs at £6 - £7, but the HD player and discs served as a stopgap for a year in between.. I think I've spent less than £70 on the player and around 50 movies, and I still watch them occasionally even after buying a Blu-Ray player..

If all you've got is close-minded tosh to post, how about you head over to a PS3 Vs. XBox board, I'm sure they'll appreciate your fanboy bigotry over there..

I think you'll find its expired due to no stock.

i just sold almost all of mine, 250 of them for £500 - quite gutted as they are worth much more (lots were us rare imports) so down to about 50 now.

If your branch has one in stock it'll be that price so it's worth asking if they have one in the back next time your at your local.

I watch my hd-dvd's as often as my blu-ray discs. Similar position to many of you, several hundred movies in my hd-dvd collection & most bought on the cheap, saved a packet. So long as my hd-dvd player keeps working i'm happy ... the picture, sound quality's as good as their blu-ray equivalent.

End of the day all formats are defunct, eventually. 30/40 years time & my kids will be shovelling my blu-rays into binbags to drop off at the dump. Ho dee hum.

Nice deal, h&r.
