I’ve used Varta batteries beforehand and they were of a very good quality
While I recognise the Varta brand, does anyone know how these compare to the Maplin AA and AAA batteries? You're getting twice as many for your money at Maplin (no torch tho), but I'm wondering if they only last half as long as the Vartas?

Are these good quality batteries?

Well its the best performing according to the graph that is usually posted so well YES! (not including Li-ion)

Great price for a battery which tests show are longer lasting than Duracell Ultra! Think you'll find the 10% NUS discount is instore only, HOWEVER, if you send a message on the instant chat on the Clas Ohlsen website, they will happily send you a 10% off code if you explain that you have an NUS card.
I bought a 24 pack of Varta last year for a Furby, used the 24 in a week on just the Furby, that thing eats batteries for a living, so I bought 24 Duracell plus thinking that the Varta batteries are of poor quality, the 24 Duracell lasted just over a week, so I would say that they are on a par with Duracell plus, but without the pricetag
