40 tray, that contains 20 batteries. How confusing

20 batteries in convenient recyclable packaging

Batteries 40 AA batteries required. (included)

WHICH ONE IS IT?
Edited by: "cat410" 11th Jun
At least the packaging is recyclable though

Love the idea of rechargeable batteries but years of experience with just about every brand has always left me disappointed when I need them to work in anything more than a TV remote!

Someone probably could, but will they?

Uneducated? At least I don't resort to name calling.

You may also have noted the uneducated use full stops incorrectly.

i think they are pretty much the same, the black ones have 'leak proof' in description, the others don't, but I don't think there is any difference in between them.

Some pros and cons
Rechargeables
They work very well with mechanical things.
They ones with more amps than normal batteries will last much longer in devices designed to work with them.
They work out much cheaper.
They are better for the environment.
Some devices ( I only know for certain from experience some digital cameras) will not work with non-rechargeables

Non-rechargeables
Will work with almost every device there is.
Will last longer in their single use lifetime in most cases, before needing to be replaced.
Are cheaper in the short term
Are ready to use out of the packet for up to 10 times longer

Feel free to add to the list

You cannot trust the reviews either as this company have used the same web page for other types of battery that have been given those reviews. Check some yourself and you will see reviews and replies to questions for lithium batteries.
Quite a bit cheaper for non prime and 2-5 day here

27.5p/battery - poor vfm if its above 20p each.

Best value ive found for alkaline batteries is home bargains. JCB batteries 20 pack £2.99 = 15p/battery.

About 90% cheaper too. Rechargable batteries cost around 5-10x as much as a disposable battery, but i guarantee they do not cost 5-10x as much to make! Greedy companies profiteering on green credentials.
£2.99 a pack of 20 and £1.99 shipping for alkalines so £7.97 for 40 delivered , not sure how they compare

You can get a pack of 40 Pro-Elec Ultra AA from CPC for £10.27 inc P&P (£6.68 if your total order value is over 17.99 Ex VAT). They are sometimes even cheaper when on offer in their brochures. As they are 2.6Ah against the Varta 2.9Ah they are similar in capacity.
