No. A leisure battery (used for caravans etc) might be as they are designed to be under constant drain.

Technically yes, as a store of energy but lead acid batteries will not last long if you discharge then too much, (deep discharge), eg discharge then below 40% capacity, so if you built them into an array but prevented then for discharging below around 40% (assume overnight) they could work ok, though the deep discharge gel batteries may be more suitable, though more expensive.

Also it's probably better to go for the highest amp hour batteries you can find at the best price. This seems a good deal for this type.
It's actually quite expensive and inefficient to store lots of electricity!

Heat! Have a bigger Varta on my van and it's awesome!

Yep.
The same experience in here.
Battery delivered next day after 5pm - I've been given one hour delivery slot.
Packed very well - strong vacuum bag + styrofoam + strong cardboard box.
Delivered by ukmail - personally I've very good experience with them.

This is exact quality of the service I was looking for from online retailer.

Obviously great price - for example carparts4less asking for £79 for the same (Bosch branded) battery.

I dont need one , but varta is a good make and this price is what unbranded batteries go for.
Good find op. Heat.

Cold from me im afraid as there's nothing special about the price.

The same battery linked to the deal can be had from Battery Megastore who I have used myself in the past with a 5% off code for £64.13

The code is 869F9F9833 if anyone's interested.

every penny matters

local depots are usually full of free working batteries. People wrongly replaces instead of charging. It also helps the environment instead of producing more poisons

Yes you are right but not everyone can take a risk of having not enough power to start his car after cold night (especially diesel car). Temperature is the worst enemy of old batteries.

Also chargers are not free - good one will cost as much as battery.

isnt it cheaper of ebay for batteries most of the time i think this specs is around 53 pounds

I'm afraid you're wrong - this is very good price for a big car battery with 5 year warranty.

Most people would go to halfords, kwikfit, eurocarparts etc and pay £100+. So this is a good deal

Got your point but a slow charging charger would cost as low as few pounds and the problem would still be there especially when cars are not in continuous use. It is not mostly about weather etc.. anyway. Most of the older cars at a certain point of their life would use the battery more than ever because of a fault in the circuit which slowly slowly can drain the battery especially when the car is not in use and because of that it could go flat in a matter of weeks if the car is not in use. It is less of a problem for these people that use the car everyday even if a little. They would never notice that the car would use energy when at rest. The battery would not go flat in a very cold night unless was already exhausted (partially drained) to the point where a cold night can make the difference.
I was joking about the depot, they do not let you touch anything now days but I bet that over 50% of these batteries are still in full working conditions if charged

Yes, but from not exactly reputable brands brands like "highpower" "advanced" "lion" "energyxl" "promax" "superbatt" etc - basically Chinese re branded stuff.
Hopefully you know the reputation of Chinese batteries - next to none.

That's a nice quote of my post.

Shame you missed out all of the important parts.

This. I have disputed to the point of writing a letter to the council about their "environmentally friendly" recycling policy...
Our local tip refuses to let you take anything from the tip, which is wrong because your helping the environment (something the council supposedly "encourages"). I have seen a few useful items go to waste while i have been there, things i genuinely needed that were unbroken.

Ordered, just when I needed a new battery for my Grand picasso, thanks

Had excellent service from this company recently over a warranty issue

I have bought two different batteries from these guys over the last 5 years. superb service can't recomend highly enugh.
