Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 S 3dr at Northern Motors Vauxhall Dealership £6995 @ Northern Motors

Seems like a good buy for a delivery mileage Corsa. Most I've found at this price are the underpowered and noisy 1 litre engines. The 1.2 is a 16v and has a bit more poke.

Seems to be a good deal as a cheap new driver car (if your son or daughter has just passed) with the added bonus of a 3 year warranty. Only negative is an admin fee of £199 and road tax but still not a bad price. I expect they are making way for the new shape Corsa.

Lol What's wrong with good old fashion windows and cold air demister? Plus air con on a 1.2 would really slow it down I would have thought.

Cheers Andy. Must have missed that out.
Does anyone know how much is the road tax for this car?
If it's the one pictured you should know it's the old model. New one is out now. Should be cheaper IMO.

Cheaper than £6995 for a B-segment brand new car??

Don't get me wrong, Corsa's are not great, but you do well to get an A-segment car (Citroen C1, Kia Picanto etc.) for £6995 normally.

And of course it's not going to have air con, be realistic people!
Cheap if you just want a new car and don't care that it's actually cra.p
3-4years old and it costs already only 3k!
i had the 1.2 sxi as a courtesy car and underpowered is an understatement! struggled to get up some hills. Was shocked by how slow it was

Would rather have a Dacia Sandero. Cheapest one is £5995 and the one which is similar spec wise to this is £6795

It really never gets hot enough in this country to warrant having air con! OP great deal thanks for posting!

Well you're utterly crazy then.

Renault's are nothing but trouble, so how is their budget brand using all of the old bits going to be any good? And it will be worth £1.50 when you come to sell it.

I'll say again, I don't rate Corsa's one little bit, but this is a lot of (brand new) car for the price.

It does.. Plus air con isn't just for the summer anyway.

It's got a heated rear window for gods sake!
You always get the knockers (not double d ones) with Corsa cheap deals.
Extremely hot offer for what it is. Hot, hot, hot.

Yes for our 2 weeks a year summer aircon is a absolute must have ,and yes all our family cars have it just hardly use it other than weekly run to keep it fresh .
Not a deal breaker on a car like this in slightest.
lol at the guy saying he would rather have dacia sandero- that's even more **** than this corsa which is pretty ****.
I pretty much never use air con but then I rarely ever drive on motorways, so maybe then I might need it. Seems a good price for a run around. Looking at getting the 3dr fiesta on the privilege scheme for 100 a month and chopping it in ever year or two myself

I bet they have an iphone 6. lol
I have air con, never use it though

Fresh air ftw

Good price tbh

You think incorrectly, the AC compressor puts a strain on the drivebelt/more resistance etc.

Also worth noting it adds the extra weight to the car too

Need to research how AC in cars works

If you have air con and never use it you will ruin the system. Also why wouldn't you use it in winter? It helps greatly to demist the car.
Plus people who don't have air con and say you don't need it here probably have their windows down in summer which greatly increases drag and uses a lot more fuel. For the summer of 2013 I probably used the aircon for 3/4 months every day and needed it due to how hot the car was from being parked in the sun.
Yes aircon not just for summer but it also adds approx 500/700 on small cars, affects fuel economy, needs servicing and re-gassing,and obviously extra parts that may need replacement.probably most under used switch on our family motors .
A typical 17yr old practicing driving this when bought by mummy and daddy.. lol

The tiny tiny fractions of resistance and extra weight you correctly refer to,will not slow down a modern car in any way.
Ive changed at least 3 a/c belts over the years and re gassed numerous systems,I really dont need to do any researchat at all.
Good luck with your gcse's you patronising fool.
Lots of people on here still driving mummys car.
AC is amazing during winter for demisting the windows. It's not just for summer...

I wouldn't buy a car without it.
Now Vauxhall also offer this price it that's more local for anyone.

Air con makes me feel sick and have a headache, doesn't matter what car or if it's been regassed

I have wind deflectors so reduces drag a little and I've never seen a difference in fuel economy, even if I did, I have a tuned car so it's the least of my worries ...
a/c is fine until it dries your eyes out. What the hell is this nonsense of it slowing the car down? I think someone is getting a/c mixed up with brakes.

As for the deal, it's a new car for under £7k!
No it's not a Golf and won't drive like one, but it's less than half the price.

You admit that I am correct. Then because you have changed a belt you try to insult me?

That is not what this site is about.

The difference may be small but it is still there.

Vauxhall's are poor on fuel consumption these days IMO, take the figure they give you as MPG, divide it by 3 then times it by 2 to get closer to the actual output.
