Vauxhall Owners - Potential £2.42 MoT - Half Price Plus £25 off Voucher for Joining 'My Vauxhall'

Looks like a repeat of the deal Jason786 posted over a year ago, as the offer is now back. Previous link: hotukdeals.com/tag/dea…891

Essentially, join 'My Vauxhall' for free if your Vauxhall is 2yrs or older. They then offer half price MoT's, plus a £25 voucher. Combine the two together and you should get your MoT for ~£2.42. ((£54.85 / 2) - £25)).

Sounds like from the last post some dealers allowed the combination and others denied it - ring ahead and confirm. My friend has it honored this Friday gone (19/09/14) at a dealer in Oxfordshire - details in posts below.

Offer ends at the end of this month (30/09/14).

The £25 voucher doesn't seem to apply to the MOT ("to use against your next service, repair or accessories").

I used this for the my last two mot's they used the voucher the first time no problems, last year I had an email to say my voucher hadn't been used and I used it in conjunction with the half price mot again last year! Shame I haven't had it again for tomorrow's mot!

Yes, looks like it's been hit and miss, as referenced by the comments in the previous deal thread. Looks to be down to dealer interpretation. Worth asking about.

Here's a few of those comments:

You were very lucky! I just called my local jdavy (basingstoke) and they said its not valid for mot gutted as I'm due to get mine done at the end of the month but still £28 isn't a bad price!!

I joined this last year just before my car was due an m.o.t/service but my local arnold clark garage which is vauxhall masterfit said I couldnt use the voucher.

Vauxhall customer care, and the website, say the voucher does not include tyres or oil with no mention of MOT.

Local Vauxhall garage are saying to me I can only use the half price MOT discount as part of the service club, or the voucher, not both which sounds ridiculous to me as the half price MOT offer is a standard offer for the service club.

I called my local and they said voucher cannot be used with the discount, so I then called the number on the email I received and they confirmed they voucher cannot be used for the mot!

expired, as mentioned you cant use both discounts together, confirmed by a dealer today.

But on a cheerful note, the best comment was:
I have heard that if you take your car to your local church you can get a free service. Which is a blessing in disguise.

Thank you

avoid vauxhall dealer service or MOT as they are total rip offs. I have purchased brand new vauxhall astra from Wolverhampton branch and they are absolutely rubbish in customer service. I have paid full price for 2 years service but they have done routine or intermittent service and nothing filled in my service book. Complaints to head office and they given me voucher of £150 for third year service. my first MOT is due on 12th October and I have booked through my local council mot office. At least I know they will not try to find any unnecessary faults.

So you're unhappy because they forgot to fill in the service book and gave you £150 as an apology?
Wow, they treated you so badly, i would sue for mental trauma at the very least.

Can't fault my local dealers, they have done my last three MOT's (no problems found) and all the services on my 7 year old astra (again no problems). Just had a service and sheduled timing belt change all for £250 using service club discount which was a bargain.

Read the post first as I have written that they charged me for full service and haven't even done the partial service apart from leaving the service book empty. Will never buy a vauxhall again from these shady dealers

and in the latest service they said I need wheel alignment and tracking urgently but when I had it check from another reputed dealer they said it's absolutely fine. So once again they proved that they are just another piece of garbage with a whole purpose of ripping their customers

So you went back to the same dealers who treated you so badly a second time? X)
